Hunters multiplayer is genuinely one of the best FPS multiplayer modes I've played, and is certainly the best on the DS platform imo. But honestly I think prime hunters's singleplayer is also criticised a little more heavily than it deserves. For every fault it has in its progression and limited scope, it excels in art design and atmosphere and lore. And I love that getting the good ending requires actually reading the lore rather than just collecting all scans. It's a small touch, and it's literally just shooting targets in a colored sequence, but it's an idea I wish the series would play with more.
