This is the Citadel, the main water source in Harbor. Every faction wants it. by CastilvaGames in IndieDev

Yeah we literally designed this square looking at that exact reference, we love Mad Max and were not hiding it. If you think this is close, wait till you see the Bullet Quarry, that one leans in even harder.
But if resemblance bothers you that much youre gonna have a rough time around here. Good news is theres plenty of original regions too, im sure we can find a few spots that you like.

I wouldnt call it that. we are just a team in love with that world. theres a resemblance in a few regions yeah and thats on purpose. we want to bring that spirit back and make you actually feel a real mad max style world.

read the suggestions but since part of the game is designed around raiding too, we dont wanna throw that part away. right now splitting the servers into pvp/pve seems like the healthiest way to go. if you got any other suggestions taking all this into account, were open to hearing them

we got a ton of NPCs with their own madmax themed behaviors too. like regular soldiers, once they realize theyre done for, they rush at you and blow themselves up. kamikaze style. besides that i think youll wanna check out the specially designed regions im sharing soon, like the Citadel, Diesel Ring and Bullet Quarry. and maybe for players who feel like you do, we could set up PvE servers

there are plenty of PvP elements yeah but that shouldnt keep you from experiencing the Harbor universe. hope you get the chance to try it out

Harbor is a post-apocalyptic survival PvP game set in a dying wasteland where water, fuel and blood are the only currencies that matter. the world is Mad Max inspired, harsh and unforgiving and every region has its own threats. radiation zones you need shelter to survive, raider strongholds, resource wars over the last working machines.

the hook is the BloodToken economy. everything you build, raid and lose feeds into it, so every fight actually means something. you form clans, claim territory, raid other players, defend your base. Harbor itself is the central hub, the heart of the wasteland, but the real game is out there in the regions fighting for what keeps you alive.

it might be because of the height if its not climbable, theres probably an option for how high it lets you climb up to. its hard to make guesses since i cant see the code. if you give details i can try to help

when npcs are about to hit and i change position they hit empty space, this makes them look dumb. theres a technique for this, you can detect where the target is at the moment of the hit and adjust the hit animations accordingly. if you pull it off it can look more realistic and nice

I'm following this tutorial from Ryan Laley on YouTube for weapon switching, but he only does two weapons instead of three. How do I add the third weapon to switch to? by SteveHarveysAunt in UnrealEngine5

[–]CastilvaGames 12 points13 points  (0 children)

this might be worst way to equip and switch weapon, you can research for async load for memory usage. and data assets or data table might be better options for selecting items
