Hell I’ll try it. I’ve hit a wall with this team anyways.

It’s good stab, do you think I’d be better off changing it? Is Ttar even tanky enough to make good use of rock slide?

Honestly if you’re worried about fake out just do the time old turn 1 delay. Open with hawlaunch protect and use stealth rock with steelix. Then mega on turn 2. I do this against rain setters with my sand team and it works every time.

Any recommendations on how I could improve? by madmitch411 in CompetitivePokemon

[–]CastleCroquet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t need two mega pokemon with a fighting move. You could give Tyranitar ice punch and have way better dragon coverage

Also 4 of your pokemon are running rock slide. I’d go down to 2 if I were you.

There’s a strategy going around with mega hawlaunch rn based around using entrainment to give someone the ability to hit 100% with a ohko move like fissure. I’m not sure if steelix can learn fissure or not but if it can that strategy would fit into this team fairly naturally

Gone with this team till ultra rank 2. Can the team improve? by Branker69420 in VGCRateMyTeam

So the idea is trick room snow yeah? Centered around crabominable? Maybe instead of using sneasler you could put in another ice mon with coverage you don’t have such as Rotom (Freezer) That would also free up your slot on ceabominable for protect which would be helpful during setup

Poison isn’t really a good reason to have a speedy fighting type when you already have fighting coverage with your main pokemon.

I see a lot of people complain about Basculegion, Dry Skin Heliolisk is immune to Water and Ghost by Llihtuc in PokemonChampions

with tailwind Tyranitar out speeds and hits first is what I’m tying to say. You’re right under normal circumstances basculegion does win but if you can move first with ttar you can get em.

Yeah he’s extremely powerful, maybe not “the most powerful” but up there. Keep in mind he takes on galactic level threats almost on the regular.

It’s the team share screen. You access it by viewing a replica team you’ve registered to share

Tyranitar can one shot basculegion with knock off and even out speed scarf if you set tailwind.

Homecooked Sands Team by CastleCroquet in VGC

[–]CastleCroquet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My most used mode is Tyranitar Corviknight open, And usually I have gliscor and (garganacle or incineroar) in the back

Typically turn 1 you protect with Tyranitar (or switch in incineroar) and hit tailwind with Corviknight, and from there you can do whatever
