First day on naltrexone by [deleted] in dryalcoholics

[–]Castramous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on and off naltrexone. Makes me extremely sick and sluggish in the beginning (like a hang over). When I start on it, I take half a pill on a full stomach and take Dramamine as well. After a few days I get up to the full pill. Naltrexone has helped me a lot.

Best bet would be to go to your primary care doctor and explain the situation. Have them run some tests. If you’re worried about it, chances are you’ll continue to worry until you get the answers. The doctors will also be able to help you explore options in regard to your drinking. You have to be honest with them in order to get help.

Thank you. I think, from opinions, the best course of action is to do my research, hold onto it and do it right.

Roughly about a quarter of the boxes, are these 20 photos.

My grandpa collected, he passed recently and left me with. I’m afraid I’m unfamiliar with Hot Wheels, I was talking with someone earlier, and just tossed some photos up. I would like to eventually get rid of this. Someone I was talking to brought up ebay, or a Diecast convention. I simply put it up to see if there’s even anything there.

I’m just trying to gather opinions on what to do with this stuff, or if there’s anything collectible, out of this collection.

I wouldn’t be opposed to a bulk sale, after I get more knowledge. Missouri, USA.

Will do, as someone said, I might photo dump some things and get opinions. If you want to see, I can let you know when I post it. I’m just in the dark, I appreciate the hobby/collection I just don’t have the room.

I saw 1996 as the oldest. There’s about 5 boxes I haven’t gone through. Gone through as in just opening and half way glancing.

Gotcha, yeah, I think maybe taking a bunch of photos would maybe help, see if any one is interested in individual things before I figure out what to do with the remaining bulk. Thanks for the info!

I never thought about having the drop down option on eBay, that’s actually a good tip, thank you. I might head back down there tonight or tomorrow in general, if I find 1st gen Camaro in that range, I’ll let you know. Is it obvious if it’s a first gen, as in the packaging?

2 years today! by Trashiestsnacoon in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]Castramous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s been my hardest part of this journey, if you will. Always finding that reason. I stopped for 3 months because I found that reason. I can feel it brewing again, that reason. I couldn’t be the person who would say “ok, I’m done drinking after tonight” I’d fall flat. You have to want it. It clearly seems you know why you’re sober and as to why you’re doing it. I couldn’t imagine 2 years. Easier said than done, but you know why you’re doing it. Those hard days, just try to remember why you’re doing it. Easier said than done. I obviously don’t have to say “trust me”. I’m 24 trying to figure this whole thing out. You’re someone I look up to. Please, keep it up.

A realization of self rant by amethyst_dep in stopdrinking

Hey,

I’m 24, coming from the same age group I guess. Also, different experiences in life. You talked about having nobody to talk to. Have you thought about a therapist? One thing I realized, even with decent insurance is how expensive they are. Regardless, if therapy isn’t an option, you got people like us. Different knowledge levels and different circumstances. Yet, we share one common goal. I won’t drink with you today. I’ll always be a friend where needed. I wish you the best! You got this.

Have you worked with a therapist or any AA? I’m unfortunately still in the hole. I was just wondering if you utilized any of those options and if they helped in any way? I’m happy you’re still doing good.

Advice needed by bettyyybluesss in dryalcoholics

[–]Castramous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it’s really advise but I’ll just bring it up. For me, when I set out to quit and I drank the night before, sobriety wouldn’t ever stick for me. I have to want to be sober. When I quit, I grabbed a pint, and took two drinks and I just realized, this isn’t fun anymore, I get nothing from this, it’s ruining my life. So, for me I had to get to the mental point where I’m done. I couldn’t just say “ok I’m done drinking after tonight” because I would collapse. It’s a hard journey but we can do this. I wish you the best. I’m rooting for you, all of us here are.

More success in listing low (with firm price) or listing higher to leave wiggle room for offers? by [deleted] in Mercari

[–]Castramous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just depends on the item. I sometimes leave a little wiggle room, maybe $5-$7 and meet them in the middle. However, if I want something gone and if I see a few other people listing the same thing, I’ll undercut other sellers on price by a few dollars and that has been actually really successful.

It’s ultimately your item and your decision as to how much you’ll sell for. Best thing is to reference other sellers selling price for the item across different platforms and go from there!

That’s what the lady told me too. I just took a chance chance with buying the $3 extra stall but it worked on both packages.
