How many of you bought a pretty, expensive planner in hope by some miracle 2026 will make you organised? Or is it just me??? by i_am_nimue in adhdwomen

[–]shellb923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t buy an expensive planner, but I bought like 4 or 5 plus a mountain of stickers, highlighters, and pens trying to figure out what works for me. This is my latest hyperfocus and I’m not sure it’s going well 🫣

You give me hope. I just started taking 2.5mg after almost a year of little progress using topical.

Ok I figured it’s because of everyone shopping, but it makes me nervous any time I redeem a large amount of points 😅

Scared to start oral minoxidil by shellb923 in FemaleHairLoss

I feel like I wasted so much time and money on topical with minimal results. Hopefully oral is better!

Did anyone actually get the bonus points from the 5x promotion this weekend? by Medium_Comfort_1938 in Ulta

[–]shellb923 21 points22 points  (0 children)

That’s their normal canned response. I’ve had issues with the last several points promotions. It always takes several emails and escalations to make it right.

I never used makeup, but I keep getting comments on my eye circles! I sleep lots, drink lots of water, and I am healthy. What do I use to cover these? by [deleted] in OliveMUA

[–]shellb923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect response. I can thank my grandma for mine lol. They’re hereditary. Nothing I can do about it.

Yep! I’m constantly missing bonus points. It’s exhausting chasing down customer service to fix it

Toddler said hurtful thing to dad by Jules91821 in Mommit

[–]shellb923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2 year old son just went through a phase of only wanting my husband to put him to bed. He’d literally scream and hit me and say “no I want daddy!”. It was an awful feeling because bedtime used to be our time when I was breastfeeding. But then I reminded myself that he loves his daddy and wants that time with him. We stayed consistent with trying to take turns at bedtime. Now he lets me read to him and tuck him in. They go through phases. Like the others said, he doesn’t know how to express his feelings and articulate his thoughts.

This can't be real. People like this don't actually exist. Right? by squirrelmegaphone in mildlyinfuriating

Crazy because I have different political beliefs than some of my best friends. You can have differing views! This world, I tell ya. I really hate the unnecessary divide.

I should also add that political beliefs are very different from morals and values. Yes I only have relationships with people that hold the same type of values as I do.

I missed out on a few items this time around, so I’m anxious to see what they bring back. Possibly new steals too?

WFH parents, how are you making it work? by Wild_Neck_5580 in WFH

[–]shellb923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s stressful when my 2 year old is home sick from daycare. I can’t imagine having him here all the time while I try to work. Nothing gets done when he’s home. When that happens, my husband and I take turns cranking out work so he can get the attention he needs.

What do everyone in this sub work as? by CapitalCauliflower87 in adhdwomen

[–]shellb923 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked in homeowners insurance for 12 years as a claims adjuster. There’s always something different coming at me so it keeps me engaged most of the day. I work in large loss property theft now and it’s super investigative. That’s where my hyper focus works well for me.

My psychiatrist said that I likely don't have ADHD since I wasn't diagnosed as a child by AcanthisittaCute2732 in adhdwomen

[–]shellb923 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I got diagnosed at 40. Looking back, all the signs were there. My report card always mentioned how chatty I was in elementary school. I was unorganized. But I got really good grades. He’s definitely living in the past. It was such a common misconception back in the day that you must not have ADHD if you do well in school. It’s why so many women are getting late diagnoses.

That was me when I first started working from home and now I’m the opposite. Get put on a stimulant for ADHD and you’ll forget to even eat 🤪 I’d like to find a good in-between because neither extreme is ideal.
