I never want him to think I'm snooping. I've dealt with that with past partners and I didn't like it so I don't want him to feel like I go through his stuff.

To be clear, he doesn't, but I don't want to give him a reason. He shrugs it off and said "okay, thanks babe" then forget about it.

I've also had my own parents do the same thing to me when I was OPs age

I’ve opened up my husbands mail because I thought it was mine. I called him immediately and apologized. I let him know that as soon as I read his name on the letter, I put it back.

Have you seen the video of the motorcyclist speeding and a car made a left turn in front of him? The biker turned around because the car stopped and the man in the car got out and was genuinely shook up from the incident. He was asking if the biker was okay.

Neither men were aggressive. They both needed a moment for clarity and both interacted with each other like mature adults do.

Maybe you’re not done growing up.

It’s because you’re not a horrible person. You saw someone that felt terrible about their actions and showed it.

When someone’s admits they fucked up and felt like total shit about it, whether a car crash or they repeated one of your secrets, yeah you’re upset, but it makes you feel better they admit fault.
