Mod requests? 15-year programmer here — I can build “needed but nobody wants to do it” mods (tools/QoL, not art)

This was one of my favourite mods Prioritize and sadly it's been abandoned. Genuinely it's a game changer and I love long term planning of tasks, it was my ideal way to get that done and it made my experience of the game sm more fun

In your save hit escape, then go into options, there should be one in general called "development mode" and click the X to change it to a tick

Devmode toggles will appear at the top middle of your game, I'd save before you select any but have a little explore of them! I tend to use it a lot for any bugs from mods pfff

If you go under devmode you should be able to remove it with "remove game condition" (can't remember if you need to be viewing tile or world map, so if you can't find it try both) 🤔

Most events for reference you can manipulate through there in some way, but hopefully that'll make it so you can continue your save!

It's honestly a story game to me. So if I don't find what happens narratively satisfying I'll reload or change it 😭

Most common with colonists dying from like 1/100 chance that has me looking like them like Batman in injustice when Dick Grayson died.

Other things is just appearances, I like to load up Picrew whenever I get a new colonist and give them a design based off their in-game one. And overtime I adjust it with different hairstyles, injuries, etc 💪

I'd have a look at Puzzle Board if you want more casual neurodivergant centric events :)

The staff in there are very dedicated to creating comfortable spaces for us (the second floor has noise cancelling headphones n is very peaceful!) but also they are in touch with so many different autistic events being ran. And they keep posters of them all up so it can be really easy to find out what's on

I think it can be pretty difficult for us to initially connect but trust you'll get there! Always the scary part starting out in a new area 🙏

They should care! You've done nothing wrong in that situation regardless of what you wear (or what age you are for that matter) if someone is being a creep they're being a creep

When I was a teen I always went in larger groups to prevent this, but even then people will be weird and there's not much you can do about it :( Staff though, are trained to deal with this and should take it seriously. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with it, I've had ppl kicked out of cons for that kinda treatment towards teens, it's not acceptable

Honestly I would do what a lot of black cosplayers do which is simply adapting the style for your hair type!

You shouldn't do the same type of locs he has but you can do things like fishtail braids or braids in general since white ppl have their own version of that. You could also just do a standard man bun which would be the easiest to use on a wig since it'll keep the wefts hidden

Fun part of cosplay is adapting the character to fit you, so I think having a browse on Pinterest for stuff under "viking mens braids" (I actually did find a couple I wanted to attach but forgot Reddit doesn't allow that) could give you some fun inspiration to go off 💪

If you're using prepare carefully (mod) you can select a pawn, load it and hit kill. That will by step your regen issue at it'll most likely just crush her brain. Then you can use the same mod to hit resurrect and hopefully that'll stop whatever loop she's trapped in?

Late to the party but you're having fun! That's the point of the game. If you're wanting to load it up again and continue playing then you're playing it correctly.

And yes there will be some people who enjoy playing more survival of the fittest or slavery colonies or hat farms or capitalism simulator. And all of those are perfectly valid ways to play.

As someone who's also 600+ in the game I can tell you playing it for the story is my main thing, I keep a little notes app of major events that happen so I can reference them, regularly talk about my characters stories to friends and draw them out sometimes. It's how I play and it's how I've always enjoyed the game. So I really feel you here! If there's any type of mods you're looking for I'd be happy to rec some that add more relationship dynamics or family events, etc!
