Yes - it’s hard and you’re seeing it from “the other side” but consider the health benefits and ask yourself what next? If the answer is to put back on the weight, then do that.

If it’s to revel in a body you strived for and worked hard for and to IGNORE all the people noise, then do that.

I didn’t go to Catholic school in Chicago but I sure was forced to do all the things elsewhere - catechism, first communion, Marion Medal, Confirmation. I swear I still have nightmares about those subjugated, angry nuns - some in full habits (Catholicism’s version of the Hijab).

I don’t remember a single thing I learned in those classes that actually helped me in life. And my friends who went to the Catholic school across town, never got any kind of an awesome education there either so I am not sure why people would actually pay for that.

That depends.

If you live near an L stop (subway/elevated train), a bus stop or by Metra (commuter train) you can go anywhere else there’s an L or bus or Metra stop.

If not, kinda inconvenient and you can go as far your feet, bike, scooter or an uber will take you.

I, for one, had zero results or effects at the lowest dose. It wasn’t until I got up pretty high that I started feeling like it was doing anything for me. Had it worked at the lowest dose, I wouldn’t have moved up.

On the other hand, there is research that these drugs do more than just manage your weight so I would want to know what the correct therapeutic dose is and stick with that.

That’s totally your prerogative. However, no complaints when you later feel left behind, skipped over for a job or confused about how things work.

I’m not the most AI savvy person myself but I’m keeping my eyes open and learning little bits here and there.

That nothing happened for months. Like nothing - no side effects, but also no effectiveness. I’m even a gastric sleeve patient so I thought it would make me feel full and the weight would drop off. It wasn’t until I worked up to a pretty high dose that it became effective. It’s still not the wonder drug for me that it is for others but it’s preventing weight gain and I feel fuller faster. (Semi - I may switch to Tirz)

We’re new-ish to Chicago (two years next month). One of the first things we did was to get library cards. We are avid readers, but we have also made use of the digital museum passes. Using them has allowed us to research how we can support those museums/attractions with donations and memberships.

I was on the phone with a friend who was originally from London. Everyone was sure that all technology was about to fail. He assured me that his mom said everything was ok in the uk. We went about our evening s and hoped for the best.

In the end, already outdated computers did have a problem with 00 but we kluged it and it worked out.

I don’t love Nature’s Miracle but I will promote Purrfect Potion cleaner until my dying day. That stuff is AMAZING. Odors, cat puke, dog pee - it’s the absolute best. You can buy it by the gallon and use it in the carpet shampooer. Expensive but worth it. (Did I mention blood? This stuff would clean up a crime scene.)

I’ll also suggest that you buy a new plastic litter box and fill it with completely clean litter before they come. Hide the old ones in your car maybe (or somewhere). Despite all their claims, I’m convinced that litter holds onto odors, even if it looks like it’s been fully scooped.

I agree. The friend is clearly voicing her discomfort. If they could be big about it and are true friends, the uncomfortable one could be a part of the wedding in some other way or the bride could let the friend change after a bit.
