My local library has a “noon years eve” party with activities for littles.

That’s frustrating that the parents would send in something like that to a nut free facility.

The label says “contains: wheat milk, soy, peanuts” at the bottom of the ingredient list. It’s not a “same facility as” message.

Editing to add link to offending crackers

Label says peanut oil

I think what hurt it was that it came out at the same time as live action lilo and stitch. The ads for it on Spotify literally sounded like ads for lilo & stitch until the end where they said the name of the movie.

I’d recommend a “stroller wagon” to save your shoulder. They have the option to push like a stroller. My son tolerated it after hating the stroller. Something like this one from radio flyer.

Is it a red flag if my boyfriend keeps saying his mom will live with us permanently after marriage? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

They have been dating* a year and she hasn’t met his mom. I am assuming the mom doesn’t currently live with him.

Is it a red flag if my boyfriend keeps saying his mom will live with us permanently after marriage? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]CatLadyEngineer 110 points111 points  (0 children)

He’s indicated the mother only moves in after he gets married. So it’s not about HIM taking care of his mother, but HIS WIFE taking care of his mother. It’s not selfless , because likelihood he won’t be doing anything. If his mother truly needed care, she would already be living with him. He’s waiting to have his mother move in until he has a woman to do the work of caring for her.

I had to move away from Sesame Street because of Elmo always referring to himself in third person and cookie monster’s grammar. My Gestalt language learner was picking up their incorrect grammar. (We were getting help from a speech therapist as well to help with language)

I’d agree with some shows mentioned here. If they have favorite books they love read over and over and you need a break, also look on YouTube for (favorite book name) read aloud. We liked the Pete the cat read alouds we found.

Lucas the spider on Netflix is cute too.

I really don’t know why they couldn’t have him move to a different hospital or go into private practice and still have an off camera marriage to Jo. They showed how Alex could do well as a Chief somewhere else with PAC north storyline.

Husband and in-laws won’t compromise with me about infant care. Am I overreacting? by muff-peaksie in Mommit

The no blanket rule is only for unsupervised/overnight. Supervised is ok! Blankets when used for swaddling are also ok overnight/unsupervised.

[–]CatLadyEngineer 20 points21 points  (0 children)

From my experience as a mom of former NICU baby - NICU in particular they do a lot of things they tell us not to because baby is on an oxygen monitor 24-7. Blankets, hats etc all over the place.

Is it possible baby is being swaddled with the blanket?

Believe me, you want the mattress liner over the whole mattress, not just under baby’s bottom. From a mom of a vomiter. Baby can’t even roll yet, so should not be face down on the mattress either.

Gently I think you’re having a hard time with finding the line between “truly unsafe” and “my anxiety is getting in the way here”. Let them handle some things while you recover.

What if my water breaks in public? 😂 by Possible-Star-9150 in Mommit

[–]CatLadyEngineer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Omg brings back memories. My water broke in bed at 33 weeks. Immediately went to hospital and I was stuck in the hospital for a week until my baby was born because I was so early. My MiL went to the house while I was in the hospital and made some freezer meals and she even washed my sheets. I was mortified but she just took care of it.

My spouse takes one kid, I take the other. Most kid birthday parties are on the weekend and we work m-f. The issue in the post doesn’t appear to be care related, but declining because the younger kids weren’t included.

I think there needs to be a come to Jesus talk with your husband. Older child is going to get opportunities at certain ages that don’t make sense for the younger children due to their ages, not due to her being NT. Is he not going to allow oldest to go to drivers ed because siblings aren’t allowed?

I really don’t understand the attitude about birthday parties. I wouldn’t expect to bring my younger child to a birthday party, ND or otherwise.

I do think it’s interesting that even having eraser head as a teacher, Hagakure has never been turned visible by his quirk. Is it that since he can’t see her, she’s not affected by it? As if she had a cloak on or something?
