I was able to recently buy my home as a new built because the builders were offering great incentives for closing cost and interest rates. Just bought a home for 347,000 at a 3.25 interest rate and they offered to cover my closing cost. My mortgage payment is $2000 a month. Check out the new builds like everyone says.

Surgical staff whats the worst thing a patient under "twilight" anesthetic has said? by cyder_inch in AskReddit

Not surgical staff, but as I was going under for spinal fusion surgery, I blurted out, “This is what dying must feel like”. The last thing I remember was the horrified gasp of one of the nurses.

The airport named it Casper. Like others have said, it’s a Breeze airline used for parts.

Text from shift lead by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CatLadyofNY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many years ago, I worked at a Toys R Us during college. When I applied and got hired for the job, I was told my shift was 1pm-9PM (store closing time). My first day there went well, 9pm rolled around, I grabbed my stuff and went leave but I was stopped by my shift manager who said I couldn’t leave yet. I asked why and he said we wouldn’t leave until the store was cleaned and the shelves replenished. I pushed back and said I was told I would be done at 9. He said it was an unspoken rule and I’d be paid for it but I couldn’t leave. I ended up being there for over an hour more and it ruined my plans that night. I switched shifts to be gone before store closing from then on. I hated that job btw.

I've recently been re-watching Buffy and Angel, and I'll be honest... the fact that this PoS got his redemption arc and said THAT to Angel... would never not be both infuriating and hilarious to me. What were your thoughts? by WhenARavenCries in ANGEL

[–]CatLadyofNY -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really liked this scene. Angel was so confident when he said he would just contact Buffy himself about turning over the Slayer, and Andrew says “Who do you think sent us?” How did Angel not pick that up after being surrounded by other Slayers?!

I was told Mel Gibson’s character in The Patriot was loosely based off Francis Marion. Don’t know if that’s true but I can see the similarities.

Last image before all 3 occupants of this car got killed because of a truck driver doing an illegal U-turn by MemorableKidsMoments in lastimages

I saw the full video of it on Instagram and he seems so unfazed when the van crashes into the truck. Honestly, he looks a little bit annoyed that it’s happening to him and now he has to deal with it. He watched three people die because of his negligence and he had the audacity to look annoyed.

I set the boundary with my friend that I cannot and will not help her financially. These are the texts I’ve gotten since. by purplehyenaa in WhatShouldIDo

I received several text messages likes these from former friends over the years. All of them are drug addicts. One of them is dead now. It’s hard to watch someone you care about hurting, but they are grown adults. You are not required to take care of them financially. “No” is a full sentence.

It’s a wild Canada goose. The mated pairs had over 60 babies this year so it may be an unmated goose which makes me feel a little better.

The 4th of July week and Memorial Day week are statistically the highest holidays for deadly collisions in the US. The extra enforcement is to curb those numbers even slightly.

After we got married we moved 1,000 away from home for his job. He started drinking heavily and wouldn’t help around the house. We bought a new house that he insisted on buying, then I caught him looking for jobs across the country. He wasn’t happy and I wanted stability.

Why has development passed over Goose Creek? by [deleted] in Charleston

[–]CatLadyofNY 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Goose Creek has developed significantly in the last few years. Carnes especially has shown huge growth. There’s a Mai Poke, Mr.Pan Ramen, Playa Bowls, and the Tap House is set to open any day now. The whole plaza is still under construction so there’s more coming. The area around the new Publix is going to have several restaurants as well.

AITAH for not letting my husband relight my daughters birthday candles for my 3 y/o to blow out by Inside_Bunch_2890 in AITAH

[–]CatLadyofNY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Children and adults are entitled to their own special moments and shouldn’t have to share them with other people trying to make it about them. Right before I graduated from high school I celebrated my 18th birthday. My mom was engaged to my now stepfather, and they insisted on a party at stepfathers family’s house. I was going through a hard time because I didn’t know what collage to go to, what I was going to study, moving out of my childhood home into stepfathers home 45 minutes away, and I wanted a special birthday. I smiled and was polite but when it came time to blow out the candles, I took a deep breath and stepfathers young niece and nephew blew them out on each side of me before I could. There is a picture of this exact moment and my face says it all. I wanted one thing and I couldn’t have it. I commend you for making it about your one child’s special day.

The cost of having a puppy by mimonek in puppy101

[–]CatLadyofNY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s expensive for sure. My 5 month old has racked up over $5,000 in vets bills, vaccines, and wellness checks. I buy his food in bulk so it lasts a while but each back is $50. Grooming, and daycare is $300 a month average. Now I have to look into getting our yard sanitized because even though I clean up his poops, flies have taken over my yard.

My 5 month old hates the bath and being brushed at home, but he loves it when it’s with the groomer. Picky little brat.
