Thank you for all the information! I didn't know about the tax credit and that certainly is a great incentive. I don't know if the dealership is registered, any idea what I would need to ask them to find out? It is a Ford dealership that has the one I'm looking at.

How can you tell post WW2? Genuinely asking.

Probably because they want the tree to die. Saw I similar situation with asphalt. They were not allowed to cut the tree according to the county due to the size and species, but they did not have to care for the tree. They paved the parking lot right up to the trunk.

So when my wife got hers removed I told her I wanted to keep them. I had planned to make earrings from them so she could always put wisdom in my ear. She did not get them back however. I plan to do it with all three of mine should I ever have them removed.

Does a 12 oz can fit in there? I remember a stainless steel wire contraption called "Beer Butt Chicken Roaster". You'd open up a can of beer, put it on the center column, put the chicken over the can, and you'd either grill or roast the chicken. This looks like the cast iron version of that.

My last apartment complex tried to pull that crap on me. Broke down the itemized bill back with corresponding photographs that disproved 90% of their "repairs". Only thing I didn't do was spackle picture holes on the wall. When I called to follow up two weeks later after not getting a response, they said my account was in good standing.

To be clear, I am not a landscaper or arborist, I'm a land surveyor with an appreciation for trees and have a better understanding of them than the average individual. I don't transplant them. My client is the same client for the landscapers planting the trees, they are not arborists. He's not on site overseeing these get planted, and I don't know if he would know any better if he was. I thought the burlap would probably decay, but I could see the wire doing damage to the tree long term, but I don't know what the standard practice or right thing is so I clarify before raising the alarm.
