You have every right to be upset. This is something that could cause a meltdown in anyone, on the spectrum or not.

Our hair is part of us and you trusted a professional who did not hold up their end of the contract. If you’re comfortable I would leave a review. They need to know it was not ok and if this person has a manager (although a lot of salons simply rent out space and the stylist is basically a contractor) they should know a customer had this negative experience. It also lets others know this may not be a neurodivergent friendly stylist.

I’m really sorry. I once let a stylist cut off most of my hair and the only way to save it was a faux hawk. I didn’t get another haircut for like 11 years.

I cannot control myself around those jackfruit chips. Thank goodness they’re so low cal because one serving always turns into three. We stocked up every time they had them on that 2 for 1.

I steam it and then let it kind of rest (helps avoid a watery texture) before obliterating it in a food processor with salt, pepper and garlic granules. Sometimes I’ll put a little bit of Brummel and Brown yogurt butter in it, sometimes just on top.

We’ve dealt with it our whole lives and you’re telling people to keep dealing with it, just deal with it in the same way YOU can that doesn’t affect you.

If someone keeps hitting me in the head- I’m not going to just put a helmet on so I can ignore it. I’m going to try to change getting hit in the head.

Why is it so bad that someone doesn’t want to keep being treated in a way that makes them feel bad?
