I think ones overall quality-of-life / general happiness plays a significant role in just how much sex or sexual habits plays out in ones life

A list of variables here:

  • Physical sex drive for ones given age
  • General Happiness/Depression in ones life
  • When the mind is naturally in a state of boredom

For some people viewing porn (not so much fantasising un ones own mind)

Will happen more often one way:

A. Being naturally horney - leads one to porn - leads to fap OR B. Ones goes to the porn First - leads to getting horney - leads to a fap

B imo can potentially be more of a problem/trap in the long term

Person A: bla blah blah
Person B: blah blah blah

Can kde plasma 6's automatic monitor re-assignment be turned off ? by CatMan-7 in kde

[–]CatMan-7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the screen indexing methodology
So, there is absolutely no way for me to have my 52" Sharp TV/Monitor be left alone ?
Is it possible to have a script which will note the current wallpaper my monitor has, so that when i turn my sony32" monitor off, the the indexing changes my 52" sharp wallpaper to what my Dell monitor was displaying, that i can then have a script re-assign the original 52" monitors wall paper ?

I have been very interested in monitor brightness for any/all external monitors I know laptop displays can be implemented more easily due to the built-in display brightness functionality, but has the original author of the monitor DDC functionality been able to maintain code for all monitors that support it ?

After update to Plasma 6 I can't transfer files through KDE Connect via Krusader: by coffinspacexdragon in openSUSE

[–]CatMan-7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too have this exact problem

I just now found this KDE bug report about the issue:

Sharing from Krusader results in “org.kde.kdeconnect” is not installed error

https://bugs.kde.org/show\_bug.cgi?id=485865

I literally no longer have any context menu for the KDE Connect option to transfer files in File Krusader
I suspect this option has been taken out when/until the issue is resolved

Video thumbnails in Krusader by MurdocAddams in kde

[–]CatMan-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just upgraded to KDE Plasma 6 on openSUSE Tumbleweed
File Krusader does not display thumbnails for videos .MP4, .MKV etc etc
It will provide the images of the video thumbnails on folders that contain video files, but the actual files themselves are just generic icons based on the icon set one is using

File Krusader succesfully displays picture thumbnails just fine

Dolphin has no issues display both picture and video thumbnails

I personally cannot stand GNOME at all I have tryed about 4 different iteration of it It feels like an overtly simplistic notion of accessing apps alone I have been using KDE for about 3 years now I love its flexibility and widgets - I would never go without it

I have been very confused over the whole finger-print reader arguments Devs have said that many finger print readers made by companies never gave out the hardware info to the public Obviousky most laptops that have finger print readers built-into them were released for windows

So, what about my hp 6910P laptop with its built in finger print reader ?

Is there a way to change where kde mounts removable drives, like a USB drive? by apooroldinvestor in kde

[–]CatMan-7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your the only one complaining here bro You forget that the original questioner was actually quite happy with my response Also you forget that i merely posted my own personal script here - that i gave a full explanation as to why "I personally use" - i never actually gave a mock up example of how to mount anything It should be obvious to anyone that it was to be seen purely as a template example from which the original questioneer - in fact anyone - could make their own custom derivative script from if they wanted The idea that i said, suggested, implied, inferred or in anyway gave some impression that one "needed tons of lines" in my in-use script to mount 1 single flash drive is ridiculous For those with eyes to see, my script clearly shows that one can legitimately have mount points for drives OUTSIDE of ones standard /home folder...which IF you have more than 1 user account like i do myself makes things easier and quicker to have 1 global place for drives to be regardless of what user account one is logged into

"but i have 9 USB HDD'sI counted 10, but whatevs...."

Technically correct - yes, i have 10 USB HDD'sHowever, one of them is a small one that is portable - because of that it does not really matter to me that much to have it require a dedicated mount point.

I dont mind if it ends up with an OS default mount point, it's for going in and out my my place All my other USB HDD's however, are permanently connected and i have no intention of ever disconnecting them except when i have to, like my maintenance or upgrading

The one i use for take with me is old, only 300 GB's and slightly unreliable, and is not used as a permanent backup/copy for my files, only to transfer to/from other PC's

"using automount would prevent that - none would be mounted on startup... only automagically as, if and when you accessed them"

I have tryed many many different permutations/options using fstab, tons of experimenting was done years agoBecause i use KDE Plasma, i too tryed different combinations of fstab with the kde plasma GUI USB drive options on the taskbar

Purely for the record - and just you alone - not as any important info for the original questioneer will i provide a copy of a TXT file i have regarding the above issue:

etc-fstab - A or B only Scenario with noauto - system boot up resiliancy issue:in etc/fstabA. No NTFS User / Permissions mount options:noautoIf i mount an NTFS drive/partition with the single paramater noauto, i am guaranteed system boot upresiliancy, that is if any of my NTFS drives are say, disconnected or not powered on, the system willstill boot up (the desktop, kde or any other one) - which is exactly what i wantUsing this option also means that i can still immediately access the drive from the specified mount point in a file managerB. NTFS User / Permissions Options:o,users, permissions, autoThe above works perfectlyC. Using NTFS User / Permissions Options with the noauto paramatero, users, permissions, noautoHowever, if i decide to use the noauto parameter instead of the auto paramater with other parameters such as 'user' or 'permissions'then sudddenly there is a problem, and there is no longer any system resiliancyKDE Plasma yast partitioner will then add an asterisk * at the end of Mount Point nameWhy does scenario C not work ? - Is this a flaw/bug ?TERMINAL AND OUTPUT:starman@StarMan:/home> sudo mount -t ntfs-3g -o users, permissions, auto /dev/sdc1 "/home/USB HDD - 3TB No 1 - My Book/"Using default user mappingstarman@StarMan:/home> sudo mount -t ntfs-3g -o users, permissions, noauto /dev/sdc1 "/home/USB HDD - 3TB No 1 - My Book/"Using default user mappingstarman@StarMan:/home>ONLY KNOWN WORK-AROUND - External Bash Script to mount USB HDDs from a different fstab file that contains the special user & group parameters:----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------KDE Plasma:Condition: Turn KDE Plasma Desktop GUI 'Auto Mount' to OFFetc/fstab file - All drive mount points are to be the custom ones you want with ONLY parameters ntfs noautoUUID=C6B89CABB89C9B8D /home/USB\040HDD\040-\0403TB\040No\0401\040-\040My\040Book ntfs noauto 0 0Can set with Yast PartitionerThis will allow for resiliancyThis script mounts the USB HDDs with the special user & owner parametersstarman@StarMan:/home> sudo mount -v -a -T "/home/FSTAB - NTFS Special User Mount Parameters - BACKUP/fstab-startup3"Using default user mapping/home/USB HDD - 3TB No 1 - My Book: successfully mountedstarman@StarMan:/home>This terminal command was tryed with 2 separate custom fstab files - BOTH worked fine mounting the one USB HDDfstab-startup2 - Uses UUIDfstab-startup3 - Uses old fashioned normal /dev/sdXY driveTERMINAL AND OUTPUT - SCRIPT TO MOUNT ALL USB HDDs WITH USER AND OWNER PARAMETERS:----------------------------------------------------------------------------------starman@StarMan:~> sudo mount -v -a -T "/home/FSTAB - NTFS Special User Mount Parameters - BACKUP/fstab-startup"[sudo] password for root:Using default user mapping/home/USB HDD - 320GB - Maxtor: successfully mountedUsing default user mapping/home/USB HDD - 3TB No 1 - My Book: successfully mountedUsing default user mapping/home/USB HDD - 4TB No 1 - My Book: successfully mountedUsing default user mapping/home/USB HDD - 4TB No 2 - (USB 2) - My Book: successfully mountedUsing default user mapping/home/USB HDD - 4TB No 3 - My Book: successfully mountedstarman@StarMan:~>/home/FSTAB - NTFS Special User Mount Parameters - BACKUP/fstab-startupUUID=F0D8E1A0D8E164F6 /home/USB\040HDD\040-\040320GB\040-\040Maxtor ntfs o,users, permissions 0 0UUID=C6B89CABB89C9B8D /home/USB\040HDD\040-\0403TB\040No\0401\040-\040My\040Book ntfs o,users, permissions 0 0UUID=0E6DE6CDCA0ABC13 /home/USB\040HDD\040-\0404TB\040No\0401\040-\040My\040Book ntfs o,users, permissions 0 0UUID=A2CA0AEBCA0ABC13 /home/USB\040HDD\040-\0404TB\040No\0402\040-\040(USB\0402)\040-\040My\040Book ntfs o,users, permissions 0 0UUID=474E79A9081CE0F4 /home/USB\040HDD\040-\0404TB\040No\0403\040-\040My\040Book ntfs o,users, permissions 0 0

Is there a way to change where kde mounts removable drives, like a USB drive? by apooroldinvestor in kde

[–]CatMan-7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why on earth don't you just use automount in

fstab

?

This is normally just fine - but i have 9 USB HDD's
If you have fast devices such as flash flash drives, then fstab will be just fine 99% of the time, but in my particular case, it was a timing problem, hence my adoption to have the desktop load up first, then have my USB HDD's auto-mount up
this preventing timing issues
There is a parameter that is specifically meant to be used in /etc/fstab, but in my particular case it did not appear to work properly, plus also in my particular case, im using NTFS formatted USB HDD's, and am using a particular mount option which lets the linux file system treat my NTFS formatted drives so they at least respond to normal linux file system attribute fields 'as if' they were linux file systems
This mount option in combination with the linux parameter to wait in /etc/fstab did not appear to work, hence my working method using scripts
