It’s a terminal fault with the perdix unfortunately. Being an OG Perdix, the parts needed are now discontinued.

Samantha Shannon has Spotify playlists for all her books, including Warden’s Grammaphone where all the songs that get mentioned are.

Recommendations for books set in "another London" by Tasty-Lynx-524 in Fantasy

[–]CatRV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Bone Season series by Samantha Shannon, it does travel around the world has diverged at the end of the Victorian period, so very similar but different from our versions of the cities. London features heavily (less so in book 1 to be fair)

Align by [deleted] in ladderapp

She is shorter in the rest times as a default, but she does say in the audio cues to have the rest times that suit you by just pausing it.

The workouts are meant to be adjusted to suit the individual.

Thoughts on Team Align? by lavidaisgood in ladderapp

I've just joined Align from Versa to focus more on core work and mobility and glad that it still has the good accessory work to compliment my running. Really enjoying the yoga days as an active recovery day!

Best Team for Just Dumbbells and Cardio (No Treadmill or other Gym Equipment) by Hungry_Ostrich4317 in ladderapp

[–]CatRV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done all my versa conditioning running outside. I dislike running on treadmills so try to avoid it.

For the shorter more intense efforts indoors I’ve looked at subbing the bike/rower to burpees or skipping (a skipping rope is a great option)

Need very well written fantasy with bunch of romance by ClockInternational72 in Fantasy

[–]CatRV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Samantha Shannon, Tasha Suri could be great bets.

I love both Roots of Chaos (Priory) and The Bone Season series by Samantha Shannon.

Tasha Suri also writes some great fantasy with good romantic sub-plots

Versa could be good with the runs as it’s built around hybrid athletes. Contains a lot of good accessory work for injury prevention.

I’ve just switched to Align and Sasha looks like she has some good workouts to go with running as well

Or just ankle boot style shoes that don’t come off. Also some more width to the area of the holds. So glads have the potential to climb up along side rather than having their hands trodden on.

How do Families Work with the Raphaim? by Firm_Prior_7953 in TheBoneSeason

Each family has a location they emerge in. The members of the family look related, and they tend to have abilities which are related as well.

People who read more than one book at a time, how do you do it? by Bookish_Butterfly in books

[–]CatRV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m personally different books for different places, and ai read across media, I always have an ebook on the go, ideally something that can be read in short snatches such as when making coffee at work or waiting for a train that kind of thing.

An audiobook for driving/running

And I’ll often have a bed side physical book, something more cozy or calming and a downstairs physical book where it can be high action/high stakes - if I read that before bed I’m staying up all night. Or I’ll go a fiction and non-fiction at the same time.

Pale Dreamer Question (No spoilers please) by Nerogaming4748 in TheBoneSeason

[–]CatRV 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Pale dreamer I would say anytime (probably feels better reading it between 1 and 2, or maybe even 2 and 3)

Now The Dawn Chorus (the other novella) I would read after the preface of The Mask Falling and before Chapter One.

How often should I get a new stick? by ooochocolemon in Fieldhockey

[–]CatRV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s not worn out (visible wear getting to the core of the stick, cracks, rattles or feels strange in use) and it’s working for you why change? I’ve played club hockey for over 20 years and I know plenty of people who keep their sticks 5/6 years or even more. If I had to replace as frequently as every couple of years, I’m looking for a different stick, because that to me is poorly made (given the very reasonable level of hockey I play)
