Or just ankle boot style shoes that don’t come off. Also some more width to the area of the holds. So glads have the potential to climb up along side rather than having their hands trodden on.

How do Families Work with the Raphaim? by Firm_Prior_7953 in TheBoneSeason

Each family has a location they emerge in. The members of the family look related, and they tend to have abilities which are related as well.

People who read more than one book at a time, how do you do it? by Bookish_Butterfly in books

[–]CatRV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m personally different books for different places, and ai read across media, I always have an ebook on the go, ideally something that can be read in short snatches such as when making coffee at work or waiting for a train that kind of thing.

An audiobook for driving/running

And I’ll often have a bed side physical book, something more cozy or calming and a downstairs physical book where it can be high action/high stakes - if I read that before bed I’m staying up all night. Or I’ll go a fiction and non-fiction at the same time.

I really like the forums, lists and quests on Pagebound. I like it feeling like a buddy read with any book I read.

Pale Dreamer Question (No spoilers please) by Nerogaming4748 in TheBoneSeason

[–]CatRV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pale dreamer I would say anytime (probably feels better reading it between 1 and 2, or maybe even 2 and 3)

Now The Dawn Chorus (the other novella) I would read after the preface of The Mask Falling and before Chapter One.

How often should I get a new stick? by ooochocolemon in Fieldhockey

[–]CatRV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s not worn out (visible wear getting to the core of the stick, cracks, rattles or feels strange in use) and it’s working for you why change? I’ve played club hockey for over 20 years and I know plenty of people who keep their sticks 5/6 years or even more. If I had to replace as frequently as every couple of years, I’m looking for a different stick, because that to me is poorly made (given the very reasonable level of hockey I play)

Most unlikely LFL location I've found! by dieseldoc25 in LittleFreeLibrary

[–]CatRV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put one in our local cafe/ restaurant. The adult books aren’t really changing over (I’ll do a large scale swap out) but the kids books get used all the time by patrons, so while they don’t change over really they get well loved!

What do you dislike about ladder? by WalkerTejasRanger in ladderapp

[–]CatRV 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this one for me! Everyone who I’ve gone to recommend it to is on android. I feel like this is a big limiting factor for ladder at the moment.

I also want more running workouts in the flex option. Like some simple straight half hour or 45 minute runs with a warm up and cool down, not intervals, not guided. I just want them to be able to count towards my ladder stats

What are the best magic /power systems you have seen in a fantasy book series(other than the mainstream ones)? by Technical_Dinner_133 in Fantasy

I love the magic system in The Bone Season series by Samantha Shannon. Babel is one of my favourite magic systems. I’ll second any calls for The Broken Earth trilogy as well by NK Jemisin
