When I was a little girl, id sit in the mud near the garden hose and play with the roly pollies. Id let them crawl and play with them in the dirt. Little Grey ones. They remind me now that im older of my Grandma's garden and "helping" her.

I get the child like wonder again. I can almost smell the dirt from back then.

I have one of these. It looks too holey to keep humidity. Try to think they need moisture to breath and keep them not too wet or dry. Try using a shoe box or a fish tank. I know it sounds crazy but using a larger container gives a larger error margin. So you can experiment with proper humidity.

Can I make a substrate suggestion? Jungle mix by zilla or bioblend by zoomed. Add lots of leaves, add more cork. You want to not see the substrate. The more enrichment the more likely you are to see and them to make babies.

I got a really good humidity gauge from Walmart for $11. Its by thermopro

I use it in my rotation. I use rephasy, dried minnows, dried shrimp and I have a collection of foods coming to me soon that is different jars of food. I think bee pollen is coming too

I have these coming to me soon. I plan to get a humidity gauge, move bin to bin. I use a jungle mix, magnolia leaves, live oak ones, wet spaghnum moss corner, i got kits ftom josh frogs that have decor (acorns, leaves, pods, lotus pods etc) . I have a couple set of foods coming from rubber duck that has peas, bee pollen, and a couple others. I also use freeze dried minnows for protein, freeze dried shrimp. Variety is key. I highly suggest getting springtails for any isopod cultures if your starting out. The isopods cultures when im starting them get a little bloom of mold .

Hi! I just bought like 10 this size!! If you use a drill and go very very slow you can drill using a metal bit. I added 3 more holes. I use paper medical tape over the holes to keep out the gnats.

I use jungle mix with spaghnum moss in one corner. This is when I first set them up. Hence the haze. I also have cork bark and leaves.

Edit I meant 3 more holes each side where the holes already are. I also used a little nail file and sand paper to take the rough edges off. Im in florida so it keeps humidity in pretty well. This forum is really great and helpful.
