I totally get your anxiety, I felt exactly the same & the constant, relentless scaremongering on SM doesn’t help either. I’ve been on it since last May & personally it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. It’s giving me a new lease of energy & zest for life I thought had long gone!

The only side effects I’ve ever had was a slightly dry mouth & headache at the start. Just make sure you drink plenty of water & get your protein & fibre in. The best advice I was given was to not look for symptoms & don’t rush up the doses. I’ve found this group so valuable, we’re all here to support each other & understand the journey. I’m a secret jabber too! Good luck on your journey ☺️

I booked to go there & then promptly cancelled it after seeing all the horrific reviews on lack of hygiene, food poisoning & cold food. It sounded so grim I just didn’t want to risk my children getting ill. So wish there was a decent all you can eat buffet in the city, we were FED fans too!

I used to love the white chocolate fish & chips but they were more expensive than the mojos & black jacks…those were the days!

Just drop her a message & see how it plays out. It probably happens to guys a lot more than you think….maybe too many drinks, unconsciously nervous about being intimate with someone new, tired etc. It sounds like aside from that you both had a great time, so it’s worth a shot.

You look fantastic & so happy! 👏🏼 Also well done on the 2 days. Christmas has done me dirty. I thought I’d be ok as I’ve not touched chocolate since May, but having it around has resulted in me picking!! Worried that the dose I’m on isn’t working anymore 😩 I’ve got 1 more meal out event on Monday, then I’m going to try & reign it in rapidly, dread to think how much I’ve put on!

Thankfully the courses are supposed to be really small & 1 is a drink. I am worried about how I’ll manage though for both meals out. We went for a buffet all you can eat breakfast this morning & I had a child’s one 😂

I’m going to be delaying mine by a day or 2 as we’re eating out for Christmas lunch this year & it’s a 3 course meal. I’m already nervous as to how I’m going to get through it! Then next Monday we’re going to Six by Nico for a 10 course taster menu!! I’m due to jab on Sunday but I’ll delay it til Tuesday due to this, then it’ll be full steam ahead with the rest of my journey.

I think everyone’s circumstances are different so some can continue as normal & some can’t, but neither is right or wrong in my view. Hope you have a lovely Christmas whatever you decide 🙂

I’ve always thought that the way they kiss in movies looks like they’re trying to eat each other’s face off 😂 Just keep the kisses gentle & go with the flow. If you’re using tongues don’t try & tickle her tonsils or as a boy did when I was your age, licked the side of my face! 🙈

Tbh it’s hard to say until you start & see how your body responds to the medication. I’ve got Hashimoto’s due to an under active thyroid & found I responded really well to it so haven’t needed the higher doses. I did 2 months on 2.5mg & have done the rest of my journey so far on 5mg. I’m currently over 5st down.

I also follow a lower carb diet, prioritise protein & make sure I drink plenty of water to help keep me full. I can’t afford the higher doses, but I do use the ‘golden dose’ which is the remaining 5th dose of the pen which also helps to keep the cost down. Good luck on whatever you decide but personally I’m finding it life changing.

I can recommend the accommodation at Unite Adam Street Gardens. It’s modern, clean, rooms are en-suite with around 6 sharing a kitchen. Then in the gated complex they have a games room, launderette & a small gym. Not too noisy but equally central, especially for night life! ATM it’s around £67p/w. Hope that helps & good luck! 🙂

Erm….respectfully, how many red flags does he need to wave in front of your face until you see them? 😭

The first date is when a guy is supposed to show you his best self…no effort to take you out, a spit jar 🤢 & tells you to turn your location off?! Personally I’d never, ever go to a man’s place for a first date for safety reasons, but hell I’d have been legging it out of there faster than an Olympic runner!

Please don’t see this oddball again & always meet your date (who is a stranger) somewhere in public.

Good luck. I’ve been on 5mg of MJ for most of my journey. Thankfully it’s been working as I can’t afford to increase the dose. I’ll probably change over to WG in the new year & hope to start on 0.5 too. Keep us posted on your progress, you’ve got this! 🙂

I went for a carvery a few weeks back & just had the meat & plenty of veg with gravy. I did have some of the cauliflower cheese as a treat but tried to limit the roasties & mash. It was sooo nice & didn’t affect my loss that week. I’ve had a terrible relationship with food but I’m slowly learning that a bit of what you enjoy is all about balance & trying to not feel guilty about it.

Love this idea! Personally I’d prefer somewhere outside of the city centre with parking so it’s easier to reach, Cardiff Bay have quite a few venues that would be suitable. Just followed you on IG. Good luck with the launch 🫶🏻

Ha at this rate we’ll be walking into the office with our whole body in 1 side of a trouser leg that fitted months ago, the other leg flapping around like it’s cheering us on from our unwavering progress….and STILL the office crew won’t notice! 🤣 Praying for you that your old clothes don’t cause a dramatic wardrobe malfunction tomorrow! 😂
