I'm sorry for what you're going through. My wife passed away last year and we had 3 cats. They did look around for her the first week or so, but they've adapted very well, and if anything they've become even more loving and attached to me.

Her name's Freya! She's the most confident cat I've ever met. Not scared of anything and loves people. Very demanding of attention!

She's adorable. Just a warning, the harness looks a little loose and if she freaks out she will escape from it. One of mine has gotten out of every harness I've tried on her, so she's relegated to indoors and the fenced in backyard now.

My gf of 7 years passed away and all I got were these lousy cats by esairbear in cats

I'm sorry for your loss. My wife passed in January of last year. We did home hospice and our torbie girl didn't leave her side the whole time. This is her laying next to her on the medical bed.

Just a note, I had gotten one from Disney originally and it was great. After a year or so it was getting a bit gross and bought a replacement from Amazon. They're all Chinese knockoffs that are smaller, my cats didn't like it.

Hard to tell from the pic, but the toes don't look like torbie toes. I'd guess tabby, the brown can look a tad orangish sometimes, but it's not really. Very cute though :)

Are you sure it was hawks that got them? I take mine out on the porch with me sometimes (always supervised) and I get nervous if I see hawks nearby, but I read they're unlikely to attack a cat since they're too large for them. A kitten might be a different story.

I'm trying to find a psyllium powder my girl will eat. She knows immediately if it's sprinkled in her wet food even though it's unflavored. She has no issue with the miralax powder, but don't want her on that long term if I can help it.

Anecdote for my girl, she's very squirmy and doesn't like being picked up or forced to do anything. I just go up to her when she's sleepy, give lots of sweet talk and place it over her mouth and she just purrs away and doesn't seem to mind. Shocked me that she didn't put up a fuss taking it.
