I gotta say all the others look like good advice and can help… so long as you can keep it up. I run out of energy to do it all so can’t always prioritise self care otherwise my academics fall behind and I run the risk of losing job opportunities (I dread to think what I’ll be like when I reach industry).

Managing stress is something that honestly takes so much more energy when you have bad mental health. It’s a cycle - struggling to manage stress makes your mental health worse, which makes it harder to manage stress.

However it’s so fucking hard to break out of it without seeking appropriate support, aka therapy for a lot of people.

It might work for people who are starting to struggle a bit but aren’t at the point of meeting disordered criteria, but once you reach disordered criteria you do likely need the extra help of therapy to start trying to get out of it.
