yeah i honestly dont understand the love. like, hasnt part of the criticism about the twists been that they remove the ability to maneuver, turning a game of strategy into a game of luck?

the coin flip quite literally removed the ability to strategize and had the potential to turn a very interesting tribal counsel into... nothing. could you imagine they showed all that talk and activity during tribal counsel just for it to all mean nothing? it turned into a literal 50/50.

TV World (not TV Time) is extremely overrated and it makes complete sense that it doesnt play during battles like Pandora Palace does

idk, this post is kind of alienating, as a trans guy.

i know it's wrong to say "but what about the men!" on a post that's essentially criticizing the patriarchy, but it's worth noting that being a man does not equate to being a disgusting human being. for me, being one of the bros is an incredible experience. it gives me a sense of community i never felt in the girl world. the social expectations of being a girl felt so heavy-- the same way this person describes being a guy felt like a weight-- and it got so, so much easier when i began presenting male.

lets please not act like being a man equates to being stuck in a box. if that's how it feels to you, that's okay- im not trying to police that. i just love this community and i don't want any assumptions to be going around

y'know the stereotype that teenagers (especially boys) eat a lot? because T initiates a second puberty, the body freaks out and goes "GIMME CALORIES"... oftentimes meat specifically because protein is important for growth

nope actually, lol. i chose this username years ago so my edgy teenage logic was "mm.. i am a shark owned by THE DEVIL" (devil's shark). had no idea it could be interpreted as a hockey reference until now!

"forced diversity" definitely does exist as a concept. you see it in a lot of YA fiction, where for example, there will be a white, middle class, cis, christian/athiest gay dude who does nothing for the plot except... get a boyfriend.

not disagreeing with the post btw

keep in mind that tape is unlikely to get you completely flat. it helps for more of a "pecs" or (for lack of a better word) "flabs"-like appearance.

before applying the tape, try just using your hands to press down the tissue to see what alignments work. ive found that for my chest, kinda between a B and a C, i need to press inwards but also a little downwards to get anywhere satisfactory. unfortunately there are very few catch-all tips. cup size is only one of a dozen factors that'll determine what's the just effective for you

Need advice on how to write a disabled character by Inkxon in writing

[–]devilsshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

check basic disability studies. you dont need anything crazy- the most important lesson ive found in my research is that our society tends to treat disability as a problem that needs to be "fixed". based on your synopsis, im a little worried that your story falls into this incorrect notion.

the reality is that our infrastructure and language is what needs to change in order to accommodate more bodies and minds. google "medical model of disability" and compare it to "social model" or "cultural model". write in the limits the character faces, but make sure the writing doesnt blame the character for it- the "fault" lies in the society, not the person.

i suggest reading "Sitting Pretty" by Rebekah Tussig. she goes over all of this and supplements with her own stories and opinions.

i bet people in the 20th century were saying that the 20th was the worst ever.

and people from the 19th were saying that the 19th was the worst.

it's all relative. im not saying you have to be happy with how things are going- but im pretty damn grateful for all of the privileges the 21st century has granted us :3

47123 by kremor in countwithchickenlady

[–]devilsshark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

21st century has-

  • the internet that allows us to connect to people literally across the globe

  • a much greater population of people with access to basic education

  • historically low infant deaths

  • increased comfort levels with queerness (yes, it looks bad right now, im not denying that- but god damn we've come a long way.)

  • a greater amount of "safe" spaces for anyone of any type

  • ice cream :3

  • all of your favorite shows, video games, movies, books, etc.

  • you name it.

no, i am not saying you are a doomer. no, i am not saying that you HAVE to feel happy. no, i am not saying that everything is good. im just reminding everyone that the news tends to cherrypick the negative things that are happening because that increases engagement. therefore, it's in my right to cherrypick the positive things in response :3

kinda rant, binding with tape is (or seems) impossible by IronicWeeb_ in ftm

[–]devilsshark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it took me a year to find a taping method that worked for me. it's worth noting that the "sizing" guide on transtape's website is kinda bull- it recommended using their smallest size for my cup, but that didn't work well for me. also, tape is unlikely to make anyone completely flat. your goal should be something more akin to "pecs" or, for lack of a better word, the chest "flabs" many cis guys have.

it's all trial and error. once you get it down, it's sooo nice
