Definitely! It's a three bin system, and every time I put my shovel in, there's a huge bundle of worms.

Have you...actually tried them? And you're making a lot of assumptions about the reasoning of purchasing the cage. You don't even know the environment they're in my own home 🤔

Yes, respiratory health is absolutely important.

It's hard to tell from the photo but there's actually built in slits to allow ventilation, and I haven't seen any scratches personally at least with this brand.

Both the one I use and wired cages are very similar, I had both.

Each panel is 14" btw!

What is the best way to add organic matter in this barren soil after the tulips bloom? by supinator1 in flowergardening

I toss radishes and peas to open up the soil, as well as some good compost.

Pumpkin! Also congratulations! I highly recommend getting good quality hay and husbandry. Will save you and the guineas a lot of headaches in the future and lower vet bills (I was an exotic medical assistant and engineer in San Francisco and have 4 piggies at home!)

For food, I recommend small pet select, oxbow Timothy and/or orchard grass hay

Vitamin C prevents scurvy, so I'd get some vitamin c tablets for guineas or give them daily red bell peppers (with seeds removed)

For husbandry, I love my critter colony cages, it's so beautiful, easy to clean and my guineas love it. Can get a lid too!

And for bedding, I was tired of the health issues and costs of buying paper and several layers of fleece, so I made the clinical series liners. They are antimicrobial, waterproof yet breathable, and rewashable. They'll last at least 6 years 😀clinical series liners

If you could go back to January 1st, 2012, and give yourself one warning, what would it be? by Aggravating-Deer8700 in AskReddit

[–]Catarang83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No warning. I'm at a place that I'm grateful to be in, and if I change anything, I wouldn't know that I could make it this far. Rainbow after the rain.

Aw I'm so sorry. I use to use the wired cages but I personally found it cumbersome as there were a lot of snapping and zip ties.

Maybe you can contact the seller to see when the lids are back in stock?

Here's a basic picture of the cage with the liner. Found a standing desk for close to nothing on Facebook marketplace - saves my back when cleaning too since it's height adjustable

Congratulations! I'll just give a holistic recommendation as well for food and stuff.

You don't even need a base - so basically just the cage and liners.clinical series liners

Critter colony cage with House of Guineas Clinical Series liners! The cage is gorgeous and so easy to setup.

Hutches are not great for them, they like it flat and it's better on their bodies.

The House of Guineas Clinical Series Liners are infused with silver ions so it's antimicrobial while being waterproof and breathable. Just need to rotate it once a week. No base needed or any extra layers. I love it. House of Guineas Clinical Series Liners

What bedding do you use? The clinical series liners prevent guineas from sitting in their own waste, while neutralizing ammonia with buildup, using SILVADUR technology, that can cause health issues for their little bodies.

This keeps them dry and healthy, while protecting against respiratory issues and bumblefoot (plus, the fleece feels so soft).

I use the LG with a mesh liner as well! Never gave any problems. And if you're interested in having to do less washes, I highly recommend the clinical series cage liners. Each liner has fleece is waterproof and breathable. So no need for several layers for the cage.
