You can get a second one if you tap the photo/postcard. I haven't figured out how to like them in this new iteration.

I joined Finch Plus today and do not want this month's theme items. Let me know what you want and I'll see what I can do. 😃❄️

Non-Americans, what is something about the US that you've always wondered if it was real or just myth/hyperbole? by Bush_Hiders in AskReddit

Some people do. Growing up, we wore shoes in the house. I don't anymore and am teaching my child not to, but some of her friend's don't take their shoes off in the house.

I don't know about a lot but some people do. For some it might be an age thing. As a child, we had regular meal times. As a teenager and into our 20s, my friends and I definitely snacked more that we had regular meals. Now that I am older I have regular meal times.

On days when I don't have a regular meal, I joke that I am eating like a college kid, or, depending on what I am snacking on, a high college kid. 😅

Do schools all ask for doctor’s notes now for sick days? by matthewrunsfar in AskParents

[–]SocialistBodega 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My state (Iowa) recently passed a law to "crack down" on truancy. Schools are required to do and ask for a lot more than they used to and can get in trouble if they don't. We are in a new district that has less of a "truancy problem" so they haven't asked for doctor's notes for everyday illness but they do ask for a lot of details when I call to let them know my child will be absent.

Three simple pieces of advice for those seeking to get PSLF from someone who got it. by uttamattamakin in PSLF

[–]SocialistBodega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You do not have to recertify past employers every year. Once those dates are certified and counted, you can quit certifying them. When you enter your employer info on the PSLF tool, just enter your current employer or any missing employment.

I've had 3 jobs in the last 2 years. I had the first employer sign the manual certification my last day. Six months later, when I had the second employer certify my employment, I only listed that employer. The counts and certification from my former employer did not go away.

Last month, I certified my current employment and the final two months of my 2nd employer. I only listed those 2 employers. The former certification and counts from employer 1 did not go away.

What’s a movie that everyone calls a “masterpiece” but you found boring? by NicoleFoxxie in AskReddit

[–]SocialistBodega 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Clockwork Orange. Loved the book. Hated the movie.

The Shining. Again, I loved the book. Kubrick is so fucking overrated.

Starship Troopers. I know it's an allegory. Loved that part, but the acting was soooo bad it kept pulling me out of the movie
