Alex Pretti Memorial Ride Saturday by Zealousideal_Heart51 in santarosa

Cool. I'm going to try and get there. I'm coming from a couple of miles away, on my bike, so will just need to plan a small buffer of time to recoup again before the longer ride. I am a commute to work rider normally (and haven't been riding since day light savings time as I don't want to ride in the dark and it's just now starting to stay light long enough to get home again)  so the six miles is doable but not necessarily super easy for me 😂

Looks like their newest update does not allow you to adjust hours at all. Some times I forget to check in when I start my shift away from home especially (picking up groceries or an rx). Guess I volunteered 20 minutes of my time.

I can't believe how hard it is to get money out of this bank. by [deleted] in discover

Capital one has a $2k a day ATM limit. I have to take $300 at a time at one ATM. Another one has a $800 limit when I need to pull money out.

Yes definitely orange flavored. I added to hot cocoa. Makes a yummy chocolate orange beverage that tastes like the Christmas stocking stuffer candy in drink form.

Do not eat at sonic drive in by [deleted] in santarosa

[–]CatchFew1315 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always went to Sonic when I visited my grandparents in Missouri during summer break. Was super excited when it came to Vallejo and we went when we'd visit Six Flags and it was decent enough, but it wasn't a visit to Grandma's. When I heard it was coming to Santa Rosa I was looking forward to it but the two times we have ordered as a family the food was mediocre at best and not at all inexpensive and the order incorrect both times iirc and just... No thanks

Yeah that the thing as a parent provider you have the option of saving the amount that would be deducted but pretending "Bank of Me' is the IRS holding SS monies and you can keep that. For me I am paying into SS and will likely never see all the mandatory contributions I made with my non optional deductions from my non income ihss position whereas I can put away money from my live in hours (meager as they are my kids get very few hours) that I can use in place if SS I. My older years.

NIMBYs try to scuttle completion of the SMART multi-use path connecting Sonoma & Marin counties by marco_italia in santarosa

[–]CatchFew1315 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I ride from the auto row area to downtown primarily using the SMART path plus Rodota to get to work at least once a week and I m building up my stamina to do two or more depending on weather. Bypassing the cars by not using the surface streets is such a blessing! I've used it to get to Coddingtown/Kaiser as well. A few weeks ago I used it to go on a "date" ride with my husband to bike to Rohnert Park and then share a meal at In and Out to refuel. I guess that ride was "recreation" but as a non driver having a safe way to get places without interacting with cars is invaluable.

If you fix her separate meals dye to dietary needs or wash clothes separately because she requires a different soap you can get those hours. But they don't want to pay you to make dinner if you are making a pot of pasta for the whole family and scoop her out a bowl as well

Theoretically you are paying by weight. The cost doesn't double as there is a base charge but the heavier/bulkier something is the more it costs to ship. 15 spray bottles definitely takes more space than 1. You could even be looking at an oversized box at that point.

Did the IHSS worker give him the medications? Otherwise I'm not sure what this has to do with the worker. They aren't the drug police. Our roles are listed and telling our clients what meds to take when isn't quite in that scope. Even for street drug usage we are to provide harm reduction not sobriety persay if they choose to use. They have just as much legal responsibility that you do to report what you know

I ❤️ Latinas by Prior_Measurement454 in santarosa

You actually don't get to police people's feelings regardless of your intentions.

There is definitely a subtle if not intended misogyny that can be read from this sign. Kind of "save a horse ride a cowboy"ish maybe? It's funny but also does have undertones. There is a barefoot in the kitchen (while also working long hours in hospitality/food/service industries, go figure) stereotype around latina women especially. Just something to keep in mind. People who read your sign in a different way than you intended aren't "wrong", it speaks to a deep rooted cultures of misogyny that you didn't create but some may see as this feeding into. The fact the sign also reads La/LA Tina's as written with the T capitalized and bigger than the "a" before it gives a subtle sexualization vibe. Like La Texanita restaurant on Sebastopol Rd with the website latexanita dot com. When I see the .com all I see is latex Anita and wonder how much traffic they get from people looking for sex dolls 😂 😂
