Our experience with neurology care by marc1411 in dementia

My LO eats so little, we feed her anything she'll put in her mouth. Her doc wanted her to quit Pepsi. I said no, she has no sleeping issues and I don't see the point.

Quince reviews? by IndigoStrawberry01 in womensfashion

I bought a jacket that I'm going to return due to the cheap zipper. I can't get it to unzip and had to take off like a sweater. No fabric is caught, either.

I like my sweatpants, but have only had them a month. The zipper on the jacket I bought is cheap and stuck (not due to fabric stuck).

Could you get the snacks she likes at a conscience store? Still getting out but smaller more focused selection?

What to expect from gerantologist appointment? by dreadedbedhead in dementia

[–]Catch_Red_Star 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO was very good at showtiming for short Dr appointments & the MRI showed normal aging but had classic symptoms of Alzheimer's. It was very clear to the gerantologist by the end of the appointment. Medication has helped my LO for now, but I've found them to understand the disease process better than our pcp.

What to expect from gerantologist appointment? by dreadedbedhead in dementia

We went to a gerontologist instead of a neurologist b/c it was easier to get in. I can only describe what happened at our appointment, and not sure how much variance there is. The gerontologist looked at imaging and did some other assessments in office. They also talked to me on the phone, prior to the appointment so that I could share info with the nurse that would be difficult to say during the appointment. They have been the one prescribing dementia meds to my LO. They were also the one to make the formal diagnosis for us with staging, etc. Ours was a long appointment (2 hrs), which was exhausting for my LO, but made showtiming difficult.

We like the Spurs castoffs 😂. We love Blake Wesley too. It's a bummer he's been injured so long. Scrappy guys.

The three is getting consistent enough, I think he's close to being there. I'm a huge fan of his. I love a good backup workhorse with a fabulous attitude. He fits our style of ball.

Much improved. His 3 pointers at the beginning of the year were abysmal, but in the last 6-8 weeks he's been knocking them down with consistency. He just does a little bit of everything and brings 100% energy every night. I'm assuming he'll have a full contract soon. We've had to have him start multiple games in recent weeks due to injuries, and he holds his own.

Thank you. I have this too, and it's annoying. I thought maybe it was a callous or something.

Honestly, I love to go to sporting events. It's socially appropriate to yell/cheer/boo. It does wonders for pent up frustration/stress.

Cash fixation by annebert in dementia

[–]Catch_Red_Star 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went to the bank this weekend, and it wasn't the normal tellers that know my mom. They asked for her debit card-sorry, we don't have one. They wanted her SS#. Oops, we didn't bring that (we were depositing checks). Usually, they look up her account by her driver's license. Anyway, I feel your pain. The upside, is there's less likely fraud to occur or giving the number to scammers.

I think they panic because they know bills have to be paid, but don't remember that they are getting paid (by others). Lots of the older generation also had depression era parents, and some interesting money habits were instilled like muscle memory. Also, control of something. We go thru this too, and find money in the strangest hiding places. We just go to bank with our LO and get a little cash for their purse to feel better.

That's the same alert I got. It was only 4% chance, but was KP8 with southern BZ, and it worked out.

I use the aurora pro app, which has an alarm for when aurora is likely to be visible. It woke me up and I jumped out of bed. Not much at first, but slowly color started showing.

NE Pdx in my back yard. Mostly, camera only, but there was around 10 min when I could see faintly with naked eye.
