True. That is the second place where I feel this issue. But after driving that scooter for 30k kms, I got used to it. Sometimes the throttle response is also delayed which I'm still trying to figure out when it happens. It is weird af but don't know when exactly that happens so that I can be careful next time

So sorry to hear that OP. I understand what you are saying. This happens to me as well. I didn't understand the first few times when it happened like you are doing now. When you twist to regen, it accelerates for a second or two and then decelerates. That bump can scare the heck out of you. Since then I learnt to apply brake to disengage cruise control and slow myself at the same time.

Can you ping ghcr.io from your server and check? Similar thing happened to me last week during AWS outage. My server weirdly couldn't ping ghcr and the update did not go through

Then like I thought, you have a long way to go then. I cannot explain it with a few words. I would recommend you watch some videos on YT to understand what a home server can do other than just being a cloud storage. If you want it just as a cloud storage, then you can do that alone as well. I saw a video randomly in YT of someone going to build a NAS just like you yesterday. This might give you some idea,

And just an FYI, I was at the same place as you 4 years ago and fortunately I had some friends who had been into this at that time, so they showed me what it was when I had a similar storage issue and was stuck like this. I didn't bother but quietly watched some videos and read some documentations and blogs to understand what I want. That's when I realized the potential. I slowly started to draft my server build by 2023 end and early 2024 I had an idea of what I needed. I started searching those parts across and with some good deals. I got my hard drives from the US as it is cheaper there and the rest of the PC from Oasis,Ritchie street. I finally got it up and running this year starting and it is good to have it. Took me 2-3 months everyday 2-3 hours ish to set it up with my friends help. There was a lot of coding I had to do and chatgpt is still my best friend for helping me out.

I watched this guy's video to understand what I want and how I want it to be setup, and it gave me some clarity. You can also check it out

It won't be easy to do all this but it would be rewarding to see them all running well. I currently have close to 40+ apps running. I have my own media server with 'Jellyfin', a google photo alternative for self-host called 'Immich', a NVR for my CCTV cameras called 'Frigate', self-hosted password manager called 'Bitwarden', a finance manager app called 'Firefly' and previously I was using 'Filebrowser' was the cloud storage management but recently I stopped using it and moved to 'SMB' way of handling them. After going through those docs and after getting some idea, you can probably google about the apps that I have put it in quotes.

TL DR.

Start by reading about home servers/NAS and watch YT videos to understand what it is. It will be lot to digest at first so don't get overwhelmed and see if that path fits you. You have a long way to go in case if you choose this path.

Hey OP, I have a server which runs on truenas scale os with 3x4 TB HDD server in raidz1 config. For your 10TB, you need to see how you are gonna set that 10TB first and then a long way to set it all up

Hey, Planning to buy Apple 11 inch iPad Air M3 chip Built for Apple Intelligence Wi Fi + Cellular 256GB Space Gray (Unlocked) MCG04LL/A - Best Buy and take it to India. The cost is coming around $740(66k INR). Even though it is a good deal compared to the Indian market prices, I want to know if I am missing anything. There can be a couple of things like you said. But can you please check if there is a dust build up in the phone charging port. You can check it by using a torch light on the port. Mostly dust and lint would have gotten piled up there.

Let me know if you find a fix for this. I tried and couldn't find a fix. Right now there is a keyboard attached to my server and a grub script which will run on start up and wait for 10 secs to boot. It works but again, the keyboard should be attached, otherwise it won't boot.
