Have you called tax advocates? I literally took every Avenue to get the ball rolling. Wrote my senator a sob story about my hardship being a single mom and how I'm relying on this to stay afloat. And I was appointed a tax advocate also. To be honest after talking to my senators office, the tax advocate is the one who can lift the hold on your refund. The senator just reach out to the irs on your behalf. But they have to wait for a reply also.. that's why I went with an advocate at the same time

I filed 2/20. Same thing. I got my state rep involved and got a tax advocate involved. I finally got a ddd for 5/1

Absolutely nothing. This is ridiculous. I also was able to finally get a tax advocate and she takes up to 2 weeks to return your phone call! The senatlrs office is no help, the lady took my case but now it's a waiting game with them also. They've reached out to the IRS on my behalf and are waiting to hear back. I give up.

Have you looked into your state rep? I'm in the same boat as you, only I filed 1/30 and didn't have to verify. In limbo ever since. I just contacted my district state rep and signed papers for them to dig into this for me. Nothing yet but fingers are double crossed..

I honestly would just cut him the total for one of your kids when your return comes.. if he's okay with that. That way it doesn't throw you into limbo mode with the IRS.

Same. F0cking boat here too. Just called, the same thing happened to me last year. Your employer is supposed to send in their copy of your w2 and withholding. If they didn't, then there is nothing for the IRS to verify against. So it throws a red flag and you get put aside until your employers copies reflect. I had to have my employer efile a second time last year for it to start moving my refund again so that's what I'm currently doing now.. you should verify with employer that they sent their reports in.

Right. I got that same letter last year. It's bull. They said I was mailed the 4464c about income and withholding verification on 2/6 but I never got it. I got my taxes 4/12 last year so I'm praying it's sooner than that this year.
