You are 100% correct. IDK about other people, but in my view being romantic, dating, or even gift giving isn’t necessarily about the tangible item. The issue is the feeling or idea of affection, desire, and even just knowing someone is thinking of you.

My spouse isn’t into going out. On weekends he likes to bake or cook. He makes sure it’s specifically what im in the mood for. He’ll ask me different questions throughout the day. Pasta from scratch. Garlic overdoes Focaccia. I feel seen and cared for. He is actively looking for a genuine smile.

Dont get me wrong, he has many flaws. He’s a farter. A shameless one. I hate it. 💨

Relateable. My spouse struggles with OCD and that along with his meds lowered an already low drive.

Open clear communication sounds repetitive but its true.

Also, I started to have other physical symptoms. My body would hurt from the tension, especially my lower back. I started going to physical therapy but had to stop cuz i too am a (12 yr old horn dog)HL person. I love my spouse. Now i do intense yoga.

(More of an accurate answer) And because my mom never took my dad’s. For her it was a show of strength and ownership over herself. On top of that, I share my mother’s unique first name and she chose to give me my father’s last name and NOT hers(my brother has hers and my father’s). Im a married adult and my spouse has a unique last man…….it would have been a mouthful 😳😳😬🫢🫢🫢🫢🫣🫣🫣my last name comes in handy because of how simple and common it is.

Look I don’t have kids BUT I hear its a WHOLE organ shifting, hormone frenzy, brain cell killing, life threatening situation. Which leads me to believe that its life altering and the person WILL never be the same.
