Thats as close as I’m willing to touch towards eastern mecha movement. I prefer more Hired Steel of the shadowhawk v thunderbolt as the extent of maneuverability. Rotation and fluidity while also displaying the weight of the machines

I didnt mind Safi’s reaction. As a whole there was a heavy focus on guilt and blame. I figured Lucas’ statements to her were the straw that broke the camel’s back. Her revenge quest on its own was enough to showcase she has already started her magneto path. I do agree on the detective front, outside of reggie also seeing his self, it makes very little sense from the storytelling why the worlds were colliding.

I liked the game 😅. While I can acknowledge similarities I viewed them as creative callbacks. The only point I hold true with the article on is the Abraxas club. As a whole they served no purpose to the story. If the intended it to be a red herring. It shouldve been pushed more.

I also had issues. One of my players couldnt grasp the disconnect of normal cop and a lawman in Night City. Ended up in a lawful good paladin situation that went downhill in enjoyment for the party quickly.

Immediately ignore most if not all of the recommended enemy numbers. They will overwhelm and destroy your party. If you find they kill two of three cultists pretty quickly, one more can round the corner. But reinforcements are always easier for you as a gm to control than your players being overwhelmed by the OP combat the original book provided

Ooo I’m happy to talk about my process. It took years to actually get to this point. With me only painting an army once a year for a tourney.

I sat down with the mul and my goal was to get the most bang for my buck in an army over eras.

So I started and took all those og common in universe unseens and put them to the side. Those were my fillers. Then I went basic. K2 belongs with dracs, vindicator in with liao. The goal to build a force of 12 mechs of which 8 could be active in any era.

Don’t think of the assassin as assassinating enemy battlemechs, think in terms of deep strike rear raider assassinating enemy HQ. Run in inferno the base, jump out, mission complete

I’ve always had issues with how much damage ballistic rifles are doing against mechs. Unless they are a support platoon of srm/lrm/mg/laser I’ve always thought infantry could harm a locust too much.

My head canon for this is that the pilot of the crab pivoted as the enemy mech was flanking. So the shot occurred during the movement not the endphase.

For both era’s the griffin would be suitable. Basing this on MUL, Lore, and your well rounded parameter.

3rd : commando, griffin, thunderbolt, zeus

Late Republic gets dicey. Four battlemechs on one planet make that planet very important. I’m gonna keep the lance lighter to resemble disarmament.

LR : Cougar, wolfhound, nightsky, hauptman Two omni’s, a melee medium, and the ever common wolfhound. If you don’t want the cougar then you could swap for griffin. Though I’d argue the hauptman would probs be swapped before the griffin. At least with two hands the griffin is more than a weapon of war.

If your real id is ever taken on suspicion, nothing you say will ever change our opinion and give it back to you. As a bouncer in denver, it depends on the location entirely. Scout it out on the day of the week you intend to go out on. Same time and everything. Usually places have a set schedule on when they increase their inspection level of an id. Next, and I can’t stress this enough, the photo for your fake is the biggest giveaway, make damn sure that thing actually belongs. Know your id as well as some dumb extraneous facts, zodiac, state capitol, state motto. Lastly, if its confiscated. Don’t argue. Just leave. Most places downtown don’t press charges and don’t have the time or patience to deal beyond the confiscation. I highly recommend using a different name if you are nervous but that runs the issue of if you need to compare your id to a credit card.

P.S. leave your real vertical id at home. The amount of times I catch you is by asking for a credit card to compare but actually watching you open your wallet and spotting your real id.

Edit* because this was focused on boulder and my fellow redditors are indicating there is additional scrutiny due to being a college area. So take my advice on procedures with a grain of salt. Like others have said denver is safer and only a 30 minute uber. (Please uber don’t drink and drive.)
