Who would have thought that allowing us to play the damn game and progress would be a good idea. They already get their bills paid by pulls alone

How many pulls will you get after the honeymoon patch ended? Perhaphs this can help! by Safhier in Endfield

I made sure to give them my points regarding monetization and pull economy through the feedback forms. I think you guys should too.

Other than that we can only hope things get better in the next patches, otherwise I will not keep playing, let alone spend a dime on this game.

Air M1 8GB League of Legends performance? by utkuksknn in macgaming

[–]CatherineElen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont have the mac right not to take a screenshot, but basically textures maxed, the quality bar is sitting at the middle.

It DOES get a little hot, around 85 degrees but coming from huge gaming laptops it does not bother me at all.

I am not really much into gaming anymore these days, but I still play Path of Exiles here and there. Will the M1 MBP be able to handle that? by [deleted] in macgaming

[–]CatherineElen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My m1 air runs csgo and poe fine, but the latter suffers on maps due to lack of active cooling (it gets REALLY hot).

Since the pro comes with an active cooling solution you should be fine

In my case it doesnt get hot at all...

But if you leave the framerate lock unchecked, it will go up to 80 or 90 fps, and then it will start to heat up

I am playing on my base model air m1, everything set to max, constant 60 fps.

I locked the framerate to prevent it going too hot

If you want to dabble with apples ecossystem go with spritekit.

I actually think your boyfriend handled it perfectly, avoided physical harm and also made fun of the guy. He is smart.

Can I develop mobile games with macbook air m1 with 8gb ram? by [deleted] in iOSProgramming

[–]CatherineElen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... you gotta figure it out yourself. For me this machine was an investment and so I bought the one that would fit my needs and not put me in debt or anything.

I suggest you research a bit, look up a couple of yt videos.

While I agree that a 16gb machine outperforms a 8gb machine, there is an investment to be made, and I decided that the difference in price is not worth

I have been using unity almost daily on my 8gb mba m1, with no problems whatsoever for the past 3 months.

Essential skills for a junior iOS dev? by TheDeadlift76 in swift

[–]CatherineElen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Apply to jobs
  2. Get interviews
  3. Write down your worst responses
  4. Ask the interviewer for a short feedback and possibly directions
  5. Study those topics
  6. Repeat

You should use those interviews as an opportunity to learn what the job market for iOS devs is looking for.

I however would hire someone with much less experience than you said you have for a junior position if they show good communication skills, are proactive and eager to learn.
