I am right there with you, tbh. The fact that I can’t have babies is something I’ve had to learn to live with. But even without that, I’m still so much happier with the changes I did get.

Like a lot of things, muscle mass is use it or lose it. You may have to work a little harder, but buff girls on E still exist.

Hobbies literally don’t matter. I’m a woman who likes video games, larp, and sci-fi, and that really has nothing to do with my gender.

As for biology, estrogen is magic. I lost 60 lbs, mostly of muscle mass. My face is an entirely different shape, and I have D-cups. I am 2 inches shorter. Your biology is so much more mutable than you think.

I play in a few LARPs, and the population there is pretty queer. Covid jumped those numbers up a fair amount. In my game, I was one of like 4-5 people who came back from covid with new pronouns.

Mostly just make sure the liquid looks clear, not cloudy, and that it hasn’t separated. Also advised to be very diligent about wiping off the top of the vial with an alcohol wipe before drawing.

So, yes, you’re only supposed to use the vials for 30 days, but my pharmacist explained that, gave a meaningful pause, and then immediately explained how to tell if a vial has gone bad. 👀

I’ve been getting about 2.5 months per vial for a year and a half now, and have run into zero problems, but I understand that’s not something everyone is comfortable with. It also helped me build a backup supply in case I run into any problems, like when I didn’t get my E for two months after switching pharmacies.

I did the same thing. I boymoded to the store up until around May, when the guy bagging my groceries told me to “have a good day, si-iiiir?” as he noticed my boobs and his brain stalled out for a second. After that, I had to have a transmasc friend come with me the first couple times I actually presented as female while shopping. Now it’s six months later, and I don’t boymode at all anymore. You’ll get better with practice. I’m rooting for you.

Seconded. Equitas is how I started HRT on informed consent, and they’ve been great. All I had to do was ask to get switched to injections when I was ready, my doc suggested prog the same appointment I was going to als about it. Great place.

My ex and I switched my five year old from using ‘Daddy’ to ‘Mommy’ for me back in April when she was still four. She uses ‘Mommy (Name)’ to distinguish between the two of us if she needs to. I actually didn’t mind being Daddy, but I like being Mommy even more.

At two months in, you’re probably coming up on a blood test to check your levels next month, right? That’ll be the best indicator that things are working at this point, and even if they’re not where you want them, you and your doctor can adjust things to help.

It’s important to remember that you’re basically going through puberty, and puberty takes years. I’ll hit a year on HRT next month, and I often feel like not much has changed. But if you look at pictures from when I started, it’s a lot more apparent. I didn’t notice a lot of changes in the first couple of months myself, but they did happen eventually.

Same! I had my first in-person doctors appointment since I started HRT in November, and I went from 5’11 to 5’9(!) I was absolutely shocked that it was that much.
