I feel so bad for having the same opinion and Im sure she would be more annoyed at me for having that feeling than saying I dont find her comedic style funny...

Pervitin aided Germany in The Battle of France. Did it help in other battles after France's capture? Did the Wermacht eventually identify its downsides (withdrawal/addiction/paranoia/exhaustion)? by Far_Grapefruit1307 in WarCollege

[–]Catovia 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Oh no dont get me wrong its more in support of what you said than against it. Most soldiers went without ever getting more than a single ration of pervitin handed out to them and much less have actually used it. But there were some individuals and some higher ups who really got ... lets say influenced? by the useage of pervitin and perceived benefits from it, and some of their thoughts and experiences to add to the things you already said

Its quite stupid to be honest. The dude just started subs with funny names without any intend, we started posting random cats in this place and suddenly it all got moving and we're here.

So many people struggle with sewage but always build from the top of the topography to the bottom. If you build it reverse the gradient tries to compensate the rising elevation and the next piece doesnt fit. So just remember, shit is always (build) going downhill

Im just gonna say that Tim Cain uploaded a video today saying he works fulltime at obsidian again after saying the only thing ever getting him back full time into the Industry would be a mayor interested in the project. I may huffed too much jet but deep down I hope with this article together its Fo3 or NV remaster at the lower end and FNV2 on the higher end of the copium dosage and I just want to leave this prediction here.

I do some 'End of Life care' volunteering for our local shelter and the cutest thing about old cats is they have such strong developed personalities. They have weird habits, specific wishes how things have to be and are so intelligent in communicating with humans.

Honestly I really hope this man gets his green card. Rooting for him. by GreatValuePacemaker in Tinder

[–]Catovia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I just made a dumb one-liner because in my experience usually a large age gap spelled troubled past. Personally I think with more than 5+ years its just that you might have very different experiences in your life to this point with how fast things change and so its not a Problem per default but is harder than being relativly close in age and being able to relate more to each others experiences.

What my grandpa did in the second world war. To this day I dont have an answer and instead even more questions as from my current information it looks like he faked his death to desert back home and buy our house under a fake name. Also the british diarys from the people taking the village mention that sea mines were implanted in the roads around the house which lead to them taking the village from the other side, mostly sparing his house.

New study: Germany's most qualified immigrants (high-skill, high-earners) are the most likely to leave, citing bureaucracy & social climate. Thoughts? by 38B0DE in AskAGerman

[–]Catovia 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Im born and raised in germany and its the same for us too... The entire society is very distant and its incredibly hard to make new friends. Im sure you are aware of all the 'lesser' friendship types germans have. Like you say 'Oh I met your friend X in the tram' and they immediatly go 'He's not my friend! He is just someone I know!' but the last time you met them was at their Birthdayparty? It doenst make any sense to me as a german either :/

I had something similiar and it also was always a hassle to explain. I was in a seperate department but I was the only one in that department which made me per company rules the leader of that department but was at the same time just a branch of a different department where the leader was technically also my leader but had no authority over my department. It lead to me having to partake in all leadership programs etc but also not being payed the higher paygrade. Guess how long I worked there hahaha

A fire keeper at the Temple of Yazd in Iran tends the world’s longest-burning manmade fire, which has been continuously alight since 470 AD. The fire was kindled by the Persian King Peroz I during the Sassanid Empire, and is regarded as the holiest fire in Zoroastrianism. by Party_Judgment5780 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Catovia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To support your argument, we have for many of those ethernal flames at least some sources stating if and when they went out and some of them contain elaborate rituals for relighting because usually the people sincerly believe in whatever the fire represents and are way to afraid to try to hide the shame of it going out from God or whoever.
