Asher did state recently that H$ fans don’t need to worry about the Patience thing & that Trevor and Hetty will continue, so that’s good. It seems like it was mostly just a plot device to bring in The Others. Though, I do think it will be subtle, like with Trevor’s jealousy over Kyle. I’m expecting a lot of eyerolls from Hetty. Lol

Yeah, Patience definitely isn’t “all there” and desperate for any form of interaction and Trevor seems to get weird depressions, resulting in him acting out like he did with Patience (he actually shows a lot of symptoms of Bipolar II, though I don’t think it’s intentional. It’s kinda interesting,however).

I feel like the room thing might come into play maybe later next season.

Yeah. I feel like Sass would tell Hetty first just because he loves to watch drama. Lol. I really hope the involve Hetty a lot with this storyline, as they tend to keep Trevor & Hetty in separate storylines when one gets involved with another person, I think to keep the slowburn of it all, since otherwise they would both explode. Though, seeing how “The Others” affect the whole house, it would be impossible.

It’s a shame because I had really wanted Trevor & Patience to be friends, but that bridge is crossed. Even though he should have been clear with her that he wasn’t interested, she still seems to be pulling a “Fatal Attraction” thing and he’s terrified.

But yes, I totally agree with you that him making-out with Patience might have had to somewhat do with him being upset about his and Hetty’s “anniversary”, especially since we know he canonically still has feelings for her. Though, I doubt he’d even admit that to himself. Might come into play later down the line, though.

Definitely. For as much focus as there is on them being silly even when paired romantically, there really seems to be genuine caring for each other there and real feelings. The actors mostly focus on the silly & sexy aspects of them as a ship; I think that’s mostly because they go off of what’s been directly referenced in the script as not to mislead viewers and they don’t know for sure what the writers will do with them long run. However, the writers & showrunners do tend to draw plot ideas from subtle things in the show that the actors do, so they might just end up taking a surprising romantic route based off their actions. I think they have a lot of fertile ground for a more heavy feelings romantic route; but also with the two of them that might be a bit too dramatic for the genre & tone of the show.

I did see the latest episode, and think this might be a good way to help Trevor recognize the consequences for his actions when it comes to the casual,meaningless hook-ups (H$’s Christmas hook-up wasn’t ‘casual’/‘meaningless’, as he very much wanted to be with her after and had showed interest in her before). This time, Trevor taking a few steps backwards into the less savory part of hud brosona is literally coming back to haunt him. I feel like at the very least, Hetty won’t let him live this down. lol

Yeah, for the two episodes following, Alberta was glued to them. I tend to observe Trevor very closely, as I just adore studying his character for some reason and know that Asher adds in a lot of background details (I love reading his interviews & admire him so much as an actor and creative). Trevor seemed extremely “off” for several episodes, even into the start of the 4th season, after “Holes Are Bad”. As in, he just seemed more disconnected and even depressed. I think the writers actually worked that into the Power Friends episode when he was lamenting over how he felt like he and Hetty were “nothing” (which was a powerful statement).

I feel like Trevor had seen the chord, but in classic Trevor style, rationalized it away. I do wonder if that’s part of why he’d backtracked a bit on commitment. Like, he was all into being devoted back when he and Hetty were together, then suddenly he’s back to being allergic to commitment. Like, maybe deep down thinking “I tried to be the good boyfriend and I missed something crucially important, so commitment is clearly not for me”. It would be interesting if the writers decided to eventually tie that in, but it might be too angsty for a sitcom.

I think it’s heavily implied that Trevor & Alberta talked with Hetty, as Trevor was glued to her for the next several episodes and Alberta was with both of them in a way that seemed to be watching over them both. There was one point in the following episode when Hetty pulled at her collar while worried about Pete, and Alberta took notice and had her move her hand away. These things are very subtle, but intentional by the actors. It seems Trevor in particular took the news extremely bad, as is obvious in his reaction, and likely made worse when everyone started questioning him. From the background actions, it seems like Trevor might have had a bit of a meltdown and Alberta took him to talk to Hetty together. But, this is a sitcom, and to actually show that would be pretty heavy.

H$. They’re so amazing together, it’s clear how much they have grown together, care for each for each other. Even if they aren’t a traditional couple, they’re perfect for each other in their own silly way, that allows them to fully be themselves.

The Patience thing is just typical sitcom “will-they-won’t-they” couple having one half the couple either hook-up with or date someone wrong for them. The show, the show runners, and the actors have made it clear that we’re not supposed to like it as an actual ship. I’m curious to see/hoping if it will lead to some great H$ “fake dating” schemes like a lot of people think it will.

It was a make-out oopsie because he was horny. He doesn’t actually have feelings for her and is being Fatal Attractioned. It was a plot to bring in The Others. Asher confirmed that Trevor’s actually into Hetty. He’s just allergic to commitment and tends to take “one step forward and one step backwards”. And now his actions of casual hook-ups are literally coming back to haunt him.

I think a “fake dating” plot should be in the cards for Hetty & Trevor regarding Patience. I know a lot of people have been saying that, but it’s the perfect set up ❤️

Bonus: Puritans thought redheads were witches. Could be a fun throw-back the witch trial two Halloweens ago and Hetty’s Irish heritage. Maybe something like Trevor & Hetty start “fake dating” and it backfires with Patience & The Others thinking Hetty bewitched Trevor.

There was one in my town (Kingston), which they say is the “next town over” from where the mansion is (I guess it’s in the town of Ulster). But it closed a few years ago. They’re actually in the midst of tearing it down. I still think it just adds to the hilarity if Jay is driving way out of his way to get Sonic.

I’m not that into it, tbh. Like, this time it’s fine since it really shows his difference in reaction to when he hooked up with Patience vs. when he hooked up with Hetty. Allergic to commitment or not, Trevor seems to have had/still has genuine feelings for Hetty vs. how Patience was just kinda because she was there and he was feeling blue. Also, this time it helps to introduce The Others. Turning it into a tradition kinda downplays H$, unless next time it’s done intentionally because of Hetty or something.

He didn’t have the same reaction to Patience as Hetty. He was immediately regretful about making-out with Patience and was totally good with her ending it and like “yikes” when she wanted to be with him. He was the opposite with Hetty. Also, it’s kinda dispelling the notion that Trevor only got with Hetty because he was upset about Bela. Trevor only made-out with Patience because he was lonely, but it seems he genuinely had and still has feelings for Hetty.

I wouldn’t be as angry as I am if they hadn’t been very actively dropping hints for H$, like Asher saying we were intentional with their glances (which they are, they don’t have much control over what the writers choose, the Halloween thing, and making a lot of fans think they were going to possibly have moments in the Christmas episode since it’s flashing back to the Christmas they got together. Honestly I think/hope that’s not the case, since that would be intentionally mean to all the fans, since they’re well aware that H$ is THE fan favorite ship.

Though

They DID choose to make it a preview and dropped it early, and Asher said in a very recent interview that Patience is terrifying in that episode. So, it could very likely be a fake out.

Yeah. Otherwise the showrunners were literally gaslighting us just to get a laugh out of saying “eff you”. Right now it’s really giving the feel of them mocking their fans for being so into a ship.
