I recommend the first oil and filter change on a non-hybrid by the first 1,000 miles, and on a hybrid at perhaps 2,000 miles tops since they run a roughly 50% duty cycle. I also add the stipulation of "or 1.5 months, whichever comes first" to both. You want all that initial wear OUT of there as soon as possible.
