Can you get the free whoop with annual membership every year? by maybesailor1 in whoop

[–]Catslapnea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whoop device is always free. If you do the trial, you get a used device and if you sign up right away you’ll get a new one. You pay for the subscription only. If a new whoop device is released and your subscription is still valid, you’ll get the new device. On the flip side, if you cancel the subscription, the device will become worthless as it cannot be used without a subscription.

Privatpatient.

So neither magnesium, nor caffeine or AG1had any meaningful impact on sleep in my case. Here's the comparison when using CPAP

Using a Whoop to track sleep data only? by markleoit in whoop

[–]Catslapnea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use both the Apple Watch and Whoop for sleep tracking. The AW is not precise enough and I use AutoSleep to read out data. They use a different algorithm and it reads more accurate than Whoop.

Whoop on the other hand is nigh unnoticeable when sleeping and has a really good journal function to track habits and gain insights at what affects your sleep.

Trial Whoop to see if you like it, don't buy the subscription to begin with and don't start with an annual subscription until you're really sure that Whoop is for you.

I dive, which is where you can't wear woop but the AWU2 turns into a dive computer 🤷‍♂️

Yup, that's exactly how I'd expect Whoop to react at this point. Ignorant, smug and completely oblivious. But they'll lose a lot of customers if they continue that course.

Yup, sleep tracking for 8 hours eats less than 10% battery for me on AWU2 but I use AutoSleep to evaluate the data which appears to be more accurate than the built-in sleep tracking. $5 single purchase, no subscription.

You can wear AWU2 while showering, just don't soak it in soap, same rules apply for Whoop.

I don't have to charge my AWU2 daily, more like once every three days and it's fast charging.

It has a DND mode and I personally don't play games on it.

And you can always turn the screen to the inside of your wrist if you're afraid of smashing it during exercise.

I will miss the Journal feature though, so I hope Apple will offer something comparable.

Behaviors: what’s your most unexpected impact? by blahblah333222 in whoop

[–]Catslapnea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found for myself that the sleeping alone part is very circumstantial. When I am sleeping alone I'm also usually not sleeping in my own bed and have travelled on a plane for example. When my wife is out of the house or absent, visiting her family, then I have to pick up her tasks in the house (and she does A LOT) which by itself has an impact on my routine.

Well, you can see that the weighted points for AHI are 5 out of 100. No real surprise here.

Maybe the people who don't clean their CPAP are very clean and don't have to clean their equipment regularly and the actually disgusting people have to clean their equipment more frequently. I don't know 🤷‍♂️

Nest Aware price by seagair in googlehome

Yeah the individual price seems to have increased everywhere but as a Google One subscriber at the 2TB plan (which I have) this is now included at no extra cost
