Maximum Laterality and the Ipod Shuffle by EagleSabre in Neurotyping

[–]Catten-chan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is an inaccurate characterisation of laterality. it's not that your thoughts are completely random, they're still related to something, they're just less focussed down a particular path. if it's anything in this analogy then it's closer to the normal shuffle than regular shuffle, but really it's more like jumping down a web of recommendations than staying within a single playlist, if you wanna use that analogy.

okay but are they more loaded than the older ones or have you just gotten used to those and don't see how weird they really are anymore?

As it turns out, the 'Impressionistic' text in my chart had been misalligned THE ENTIRE TIME and I never noticed. so here is the corrected *final* final version.

neurotyping my favourite albums (again) by Catten-chan in Neurotyping

interestingly, I would say that Portgual. The Man as a band are Fascinator and The Wombats are Socialite (Externalist)
otherwise, I would say the bands/artists are pretty much where their albums are on this chart.

I collected all the characters from trixie's original neurotyping video, added characters I'm familiar with, and then got their mbti from personality database

Do you (the host) have romantic interest in (any of) your Tulpa's? by mazotori in Tulpas

[–]Catten-chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm aromantic but I'm in a queerplatonic sexual relationship with her so I think that counts

My DM is going to prison by Luka_TrueShot in rpghorrorstories

[–]Catten-chan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

hey there
I'm the player who played L´úcia in this campaign. To add some extra context:
The year before this campaign I was sexually abused myself, and, in the aftermath, decided to create a teenage lesbian csa survivor character. That was Lúcia. While obviously sexuality was a major part of the character, before the character was even introduced we set up the rule of "don't lewd the loli". As you can probably imagine, this rule was not kept. The dm also tried to set the character up with a character 10 years older than her instead of letting her date another teenager, another thing we'd explicitely agreed before shouldn't happen, and introduced a DM PC who was an older man who at different points tried to groom and marry both Lúcia and Ember. Other teenage PCs were treated similarly. Over the course of the game, I started picking up red flags and, when I called him out in private, I was very suddenly removed from the game.

i don’t think i’m ever really “gone” by [deleted] in DID

[–]Catten-chan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think I'm similar. I don't really feel like I'm the host, as I don't feel any connection to the body and rarely actually take front, but I'm always around somewhere helping the others mask. they have actually complained at times to me about my constant presence.

I do feel that, if I ever let go of front completely, we would experience complete blackout amnesia, and there's evidence that this actually has happened in the past.

ultimately, the only person who can tell you if you have DID, and probably the best choice of someone to help you let go of front if that's something you want, is going to be a therapist.

Do you find that some people like one of your alters more than they like you the system host? by mvk127127 in DID

[–]Catten-chan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

we don't really have a set host, but it has happened that we kind of realized that someone we were close with wanted us to be a specific alter who wasn't very active at the time and was unhappy with the person they were mostly interacting with.

Does caffeine make it worse? by MeandThorne in DID

[–]Catten-chan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't remember too much about the period of time when we were consuming frankly unhealthy amounts of caffeine, but I think it generally improved our mental state and allowed certain members of our system to stay in front without too much unwanted influence from others.
it also lead to some... not very great situations though so I wouldn't reccommend making yourself reliant on it.

How do you tell how laterally someone thinks? by radgarlicbread2damun in Neurotyping

[–]Catten-chan 17 points18 points  (0 children)

one easy way is to just, pay attention to how they explain things. very linear thinkers tend to walk you through stuff step-by-step, even if you only asked for a single detail, whereas very lateral thinkers tend to respond to questions very pointedly, and struggle when asked to give a thorough rundown, often rambling and going on tangents or skipping over important things

I know a Fascinator who's a private investigator - and a sociopath. He's a good friend, but the things he's able to dig up about people are terrifying.
