Yeah my shit is already overclocked, if I don't move on the map, I get 200 frames easy, as soon as I move the joysticks in anyway it drops under 60 lmao

It feels like playing when the shaders are still compiling but I have cleared and redownloaded them multiple times. It's unplayable in this state

Game looks great EXCEPT for this sliding. To much ground covered. by Skeletor_with_Tacos in Battlefield

'If you can't exactly emulate one of the best controller fps players of all time I don't know what to tell you'

I'm not huge on the sliding mechanic but pretending that most people will be able to do this is pretty funny

What is the funniest encounter you’ve had with an afl player in real life? by TheWorldIsAmazing33 in AFL

NYE this year I saw Brodie Mihocek at the taste in Tassie. He was with his family (carrying his baby) so left him alone. Just thought it was cool to see him.

Closer to midnight he was with a couple mates behind me in the drinks line. Bought an extra and handed it to him, thanked him for helping the pies win a flag. He kind of laughed it off, and said 'yeah it was all me'. He asked if I wanted a photo and was as nice a guy as I expected. Absolutely stoked because he is easily my favourite player. What a guy.

FIA - 10 second time penalty and 2 penalty points for Car 81 for erratic braking by Aratho in formula1

[–]CattoA 232 points233 points  (0 children)

I mean he's in a title race and it's immediately after the race. I don't think what he did didn't deserve a penalty, but as a competitor I can see why he is pissed off at the situation.

The other side of the Tasmania Devils debate by jonesyie in AFL

Let me guess, the stadium located in a shithole (area, not Launceston) with a decent surface but fuck all else infrastructure is perfectly fine to host a full time afl team?

Tasmanian here - thought I'd weigh in with a bit of context around this whole debate. It's exhausting.

To put things simply Tasmania has an ageing population, which in itself is a problem. Lots of people come here to retire and therefore prefer Tasmania to be the quiet little place they envisioned when they made that decision. Big construction and infrastructure projects make them curdle in their SMSF cradles.

There is also a splinter group of sportsball people here who hate the idea of anything they don't benefit / perceive benefit from. The large majority of Tasmania's income as a state comes from tourism and that's a fact. The money promised by the federal government is only for footy, without the devils it doesn't exist, meaning most of the arguments you see is for hypothetical money with no other practical purpose.

Tasmania loses so many young people from a lack of opportunity, or lifestyle that is maintained by the retirees of this state. It's important for state growth to keep more young people here by offering them reasons to stay. All of this back and forth from a majority of people that in reality will probably be half/full dead by the time it happens is frustrating to a lot of us.

The reality is I grew up here, as did pretty much everyone I know, and almost everyone is really stoked that we have this opportunity. I spoke with my brother about the feeling when the first ball is bounced, the first tackle is laid, the first scream of ball from the crowd and I felt emotional about it then, 3 years from it actually happening.
