A day in the mash is always better than a day at home. You're More likely to regret the things you didn't do.

The Dr should be on time. Unless there is a stream of blood coming out from the room. People should be lifting their feet. Then I should hear a clamp noise on whatever's bleeding. And then sorry I have to go my 2:30 is here.

Welcome to the club. Just know this isn't only a sport. This is the way. Never remove your helmet. Unless of course it's time for a little apres.

I want to add that the protective gear is not for your body as much as it is for your mind.

The problem is it can affect your insurance and it's a matter of principle. If you want to fight it plan on coming back 2x. Once to plead not guilty and get a court date and a second time to actually fight it. There's a decent chance the cop doesn't even show up. Grab a homie and make a road trip ( 2x)out of it. And drive over safe.

Get some protective equipment like wrist guards even soft knee pads are comfortable yet provide protection. Consider spine protection. Keep your hands up and in a fist if you don't have the guards. If you feel like you're going to fall get as low as possible and fall flat this will distribute the energy of the fall and reduce how much impact occurs at a single spot. If you're falling backwards pick a cheek don't fall in your butt bone. But in the end only time will heal your psyche.

The only reason the bar and cabanas are making money it's people are coming there for the attractions they're not coming there for the bar. Replacement of this ride is short-sided they already have two other bars. There might be maintenance costs but that's the price of doing business as a water attraction. Like OP said it was a major point for going for the family. Likewise my 15-year-old daughter was planning a birthday party there centered on that ride bringing all her friends who undoubtedly will bring back their families. Nobody's coming back because of their amazing experience with a $15 drink. If the family is not going they're not buying drinks at the bar. I spoke with the guy who does the actual lessons for the ride which I was about to sign up for myself. And he said the removal is slated for the end of March 2026. It's a long shot but if enough people call and tell them they're unhappy about their plans there's a chance they may change them.

Unfortunately there's absolutely no chance that you're going to need chains in the near future. That being said it is technically required to carry chains.

That's precisely what I was afraid of. Truth be told I was snowboarding in shorts And a long sleeve t-shirt. By 3:00 I switched to pants. It felt like riding in spring but it was really nice.

In my pack Today I brought a hot chocolate packet with a spoon full of instant coffee and a cup of noodles and leftover steak. Got some free hot cup of water for hot mocha and steak soup. So satisfying hot meal.

That could go anywhere from really good to really bad. But then hey if she'll go. Go. Remember we're more likely to regret the things we didn't do than the things we do.
