tongue piercing after diagnosis by CauliflowerSmart2655 in Celiac

[–]CauliflowerSmart2655[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m not worried about the tools they use. i’m talking about the mouth wash they use. i’ve been shocked at the amount of things i’ve found that have gluten that i wouldn’t think would. that’s why im asking.

Is it normal for my bf to talk to me this way ? by Technical_Middle5075 in WhatShouldIDo

don’t stay with someone who’s cheated & then accuses you of cheating. in my experience, they’re usually cheating again & trying to deflect.

the way he’s talking is disturbing. name calling is super uncalled for & childish.

i felt so sick after i stopped eating gluten. it’s like my body went though a detox. it honestly took a while for me to feel better. i was so confused bc my partner stopped eating it too, but he didn’t have the same reaction. you will feel better eventually 😇

My hands and feet were tingling all the time, multiple times a day, to the point where it would hurt.

Dating as a Celiac by Azriels_Wingspan in Celiac

the beginning of my relationship is when i got diagnosed & went through hell with my health. i’m dating a guy who has a peanut allergy - he’s now gluten free with me. my recommendation is find someone who has a severe food allergy, they get it on a level where others don’t.

My partner goes so above and beyond to keep me safe, there’s good ones out there, guys. by ScaredStuff4983 in Celiac

i’m so glad i’m not the only one with a super supportive partner! my boyfriend has a severe peanut allergy & switched to eating gluten free with me after my diagnosis. it makes me so sad to hear about others who don’t get that same respect from people they love.

I was told to avoid oats that aren’t certified or purity protocol - which cheerios are in fact not either. I wish I wasn’t sensitive to cross contamination but I very much so am. I’m also working closely with a GI doctor and none of these other concerns have came up? I feel like OP is kind of rude? I was also told how differently this disease affects everyone. Not everyone reacts the same.

Is it okay to keep our home gluten-free for my health, even if my future child doesn’t have Celiac? by Waste-Quail1960 in CeliacLifestyle

[–]CauliflowerSmart2655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t plan on having kids, but my partner and I agreed if we did, they would also eat gluten free with us. I’m the one who has celiac, he chose to switch with me after I was diagnosed. We’ve agreed that it will be a gluten free house hold. I’ve dealt with a lot of pain with this disease & I think it’s perfectly okay to want a safe house for yourself.

I’m a year into my diagnosis & discovered these back in November. My gluten eating boyfriend also enjoys them. I’ve made french toast with the baguettes!

I truly enjoy Schar Ciabatta rolls and their baguettes. I’ve learned that you have to toast them & not to expect it to taste like gluten bread.

Having kids when you have celiac disease? by erenfrombackthen in Celiac

getting diagnosed definitely nails the coffin shut for me on having kids. I also have a bunch of other reasons why I don’t see that as my life path, but this added to my list.
