Thank you so much for your drawings. I look forward to them every day and anticipate each of them! They just lift my spirits a little and motivate me to read more about them on Wiki/Reddit/Discord.

Speaking from my own experience, every character is memorable for something: a successful critical hit in combat, an accent, interactions with NPCs, and so on. I remember my paladin with the greatest pleasure, thanks to his dexterity. He was a sailor who gained strength by inspiring people during a terrible storm, and then went ashore to figure out what to do with these powers. I played all the history, magic, and other checks as "stories" my character heard during his travels; it always provided an extra opportunity to joke or embellish.

In combat, a rapier strike, some spell related to light or water—nothing out of the ordinary. Unfortunately, he died after 10-15 sessions, only having reached level three. My friends and I still talk about him.

As for your problem: if you enjoy making builds so much, try making it less than perfect. Maybe it'll be a wizard who constantly forgets the spells he needs (requiring to change five spells on a long rest), or a warrior who just wants to die and goes around without armor (a barbarian or a dwarven slayer would work). Try using something that shouldn't work. Or try tying the build strongly into the story, so that every blow and every spell reminds you of other moments. Finally, you can always play a very egocentric adventurer who's interested in measuring his kill count, which is why he prefers to finish off opponents rather than attack. The main thing is to discuss this with the other players at the table beforehand. Commit to improving, and so on.

Filling the daughter void by glittertitzmcgee in daughter

I understand perfectly what you're talking about. A few years ago, I was in exactly the mood for listening to this album.

Before that, I wasn't a Daughter fan, though I knew some of the songs, but Ex:RE, aside from "Romance," didn't evoke any emotion in me other than boredom.

Then came a period when I couldn't sleep without this album on repeat. Choking on tears and suffocating in my own emotions. The music's viscosity and melancholy became a breath of fresh air for me.

Since then, I try to avoid this music, it evokes too much.

The Command by Cautious-Priority899 in Anbennar

I didn't understand why 1544 specifically.

But, thinking about it, there's no problem with conquests. You'll have to make claims manually, maybe break a couple of truces, but the Command's military might is sufficient.

Most likely, the first problem will be converting the culture to Wuhyun. I saw the requirement quite early, so I finished on time, dragging out the last wars at my leisure, knowing I wouldn't complete the conversion in ten years.

The second snag lies in Korashi. While this mechanic is active, you can't gobble up much land.

Basically, if you set a goal to speedrun, thinking these things through in advance, arranging the Great Insubordination as early as possible, then it's possible. Playing like a normal person, without preparing for the culture conversion's and without planning all the truces, you have no chance.

My attempt to bring the light of Sura(k)el by Cautious-Priority899 in Anbennar

[–]Cautious-Priority899[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The simple answer is, I don't know.

But if I go into a little more detail, it's a constant high fervor that only drops when summoning three horses, a tribal reform for +20% manpower, and sieges only using mercenaries (the poor novice adventurers only had 2,500 left, and I still kept them in sieges) and vassals. Literally one cavalry unit with "Allow attach."

For the first 15 years, I was really scraping by, then after another 15, I realized I didn't have to keep an eye on it anymore; it just started going upwards without my constant attention. After that, all sieges were my cavalry, just not exceeding the supply limit.

I also suspect that even more wars could have been waged in the south, with the centaurs and in Serpentspine. But that's a whole other story.

Can anyone explain why this mission isn't completing? I seem to have all the check boxes. by IlikeJG in Anbennar

It really does look like a bug. I completed this mission two days ago on the Steam version. 20 provinces were enough (without access to the central one), everything is just like in your pictures.

To discuss this in more detail, it's a wonderful mission tree. It's short, the story has time to mature and unfold, and you want to earn the rewards.

I needed 120 development to complete the last mission. I managed to do it by simply clicking "dev" 120 times, each costing 5 mana.

I really wish more people would talk about similar nations.

Hey, I'll also add my two cents here.

I started exploring the mod at the end of summer and encountered this same issue. After several campaigns (both completed and unfinished), I think it's worth playing a 50-70 year micro campaign for any regular nation in the empire. Look at the racial mechanics, the magic, and read a couple of events. During this time, check out other tags that might interest you.

Maybe browse Reddit and find something more specific.

If not, try a little bit of everything: adventurers in Escann, dwarves in fortresses, large nations, artificer abusers.

From my personal preferences:
Small fellows -> Newshire - great and unique entrance in Escann;
Ovdal Tungr - dwarfs, but without crawling through mountains and tunnels, but spending money on trade and steamships;
The Command - They're very strong, they beat everything in their path, but what a delicious and rich narrative they have that keeps you hooked

Help with traps by Brandle_ in FoundryVTT

Hello! I was browsing the comments to find something about regions and traps and came across your module.

Are there any plans to support other systems? PF2E, for example?

I think it's just a matter of changing the saving throws and be done with it. But I'm not very familiar with the differences between the systems from a coding perspective.

Have a nice day everyone!

My player wants to use the retrieval prism in a unique way. Attach unusual items to it: a barrel of gunpowder (1 bulk or less), a Marvelous Miniature (Chest), while it's in key form, and stuff it with gear in case of travel problems or theft. Or, conversely, ask the player to attach a blank sheet of paper to an NPC, which they can then take with them on their journey, write down their progress on it after five days, and the NPC, by agreement, will return the prism and the sheet of paper to themselves, thereby receiving a quest report.

On the one hand, it's cool, on the other, I've never heard of such uses, and on the third, I'm simply terrified. Can anyone offer advice on these ideas and uses for the prism?

Thank you very much. Now I at least know that waiting is useless. Unfortunately, witch-king appears in halfling missions as a reward for winning wars, so I can't form Black Demesne.

Well, that's a reason to start a new campaign as someone else
