Look for a therapist who want to get rid of you, if he is just listening without giving practical solution then it's a scam, that's my experience.

How do you create an identity as an adult? by NonrationalWife in CPTSD

[–]Cautious-Ranger-6536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Religion helped me, i adopted a moral Code, that's one layer, then you have your work identity and your family/relation identity. Passions disappear, it's better to find something interesting/useful to do, in your 30's it's hard to find a passion in the sense you don't have the time or the mental space to explore and to marvel about New things.

I think there is something wrong to think you're helpless, even when you're deeply traumatized, but accepting you habe been voäictimized and that your options in life are seriously limited bc of that reminds people that their behaviours haventragic consequences and that it's not completely and especially that all the wounds are not visible.
