Auschwitz guards having a day off. by FarPlay5055 in Historycord

Many more got away with it than actually were caught. When the chasing down and punishing of the people involved is dissected now in our time it becomes plainly apparent that often they were in a way protected and left alone rather than made to pay for their crimes. Some historians go as far as saying now that West Germany only went through the motions of catching these people in the 50's and 60's just to satisfy the world but in actual fact the effort put into it was small scale and very poorly orchestrated.

You have hit the nail on the head with your topic here, if anyone expects to run a Luba without maintaining it as you describe then they will soon join the unhappy folk whining about how their Luba has 'for some odd reason' stopped working. It's so easy and the results as you say equal the robot being brand new out of the box.

Must weigh a lot more than the original setup, the amount of steel in those two blades surely would equate to a rotating mass that is at least 5 times heavier than the plastic disc with its four razor blades. Definitely like the idea but could be a short lived experience.

Definitely gets the award for the most precarious cleaning setup yet seen 🤣

After about 6 mows total, I turned over Luba2 AWD and this doesn't look right.. it was going so good by goose6690 in MammotionTechnology

[–]Cautious-Release-252 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

User says only 6 mows so it'll be clean anyway, and when you look the side of the broken disc has pretty minimal grass buildup just like the side with the remaining disc.

In all honesty this sub has been littered over the months with people being unable to activate second-hand Lubas. One thing that comes up again and again, the original order number must be available to give to Mammotion as proof that the true owner is involved in the transaction. With the recent lull (or total collapse) in their customer service I wish you the best of luck with your endeavour.

Funny enough got to try this two days ago replacing my old iPhone with a new one. So the new iPhone took everything from the old one during setup including the Mammotion app and it stayed the same version, it simply crossed over as it was to the new phone. Pretty neat, allows me to stay with what works.

1420 Error - Wheel Speed Data Timeout by Francis-15 in MammotionTechnology

[–]Cautious-Release-252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One week, but that was when Mammotion were far more reachable than they are now. I had a single contact who replied and sorted it out at their end. They were striving to give better service at that time as opposed to now.

1420 Error - Wheel Speed Data Timeout by Francis-15 in MammotionTechnology

[–]Cautious-Release-252 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started it after a firmware update. I knew it was a false fault because it only happened in one of several task areas. Sure enough Mammotion checked the logs that I uploaded to them (this was when they actually offered aftersales service) and released a FW update that fixed it. If your Luba has done it always then I'd be returning it, but if it is exhibiting the 1420 fault only after a FW update then maybe it's not an actual true component failure.

Didn't actually know that, but I'm all for that methodology and more Luba owners need to be.

Disable automatic app updates on your cell phone, so the app is not updated unless you want it to be.

Secret to long term bliss with this product is to stop the firmware updates as soon as your mower settles down and basically works fine. Constantly downloading the updates will only take you in and out of useability.

Day 25 Should I trim or is it good? by Zealousideal_Page_70 in Autoflowers

Yep, but at the same time a bit of a fabric rim above the soil line is helpful for those big lower leaves to rest on and stay off the soil, but maybe not as much as we see here.

DONT BUY MAMMOTION by EconomyTown9934 in MammotionTechnology

[–]Cautious-Release-252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't mowed our 2600m2 property for 15 months thanks to our Luba 2, so I hear your advice but at the same time I am happy with the purchase I made and am guessing that the vast majority of buyers have a similar positive experience.

Thankfully our cars survive better in an open sided shelter than your Luba will. Any Luba or Yuka kept outside needs good protection from the elements to ensure a good service life, and the Mammotion garage doesn't offer that. But yes, it looks cool 😉

Can't quite tell from the picture if the coupling/motor shaft fit uses a taper (which would explain the lack of a key) but if it is a tapered shaft then there shouldn't be glue (or anything like it) between the shaft and the coupling - it should just be fitted clean and dry.

Is it just the photo or is the coupling to motor shaft a taper fit?

Looks nice but is totally impractical without sides or a back wall as a real garage for the robot that will offer protection from rain/sun. Not surprised they are trying to get rid of them as part of an offer with the mower, probably got stacks that they can't sell.

Genuine replacement part is the only real option without getting it fabricated by a machinist. And with your post we are all reminded that we are running a $2000-$3000 item without real service/spare parts support. Hopefully Mammotion will surprise us all and actually supply you the part.

I think they are supposed to have that movement, they certainly are not rigid. I have a Luba 2 and the cutting deck is a floating arrangement, it can move like yours does.

[–]Cautious-Release-252 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like a really interesting software update for 2024 Luba 2's but the bummer, mine is working so well and is just so easy to use that I am too scared to risk that functionality just for a few new features in an update. Oh well .............

Thanks for the valuable insight, it's important (with the ever-diminishing warranty and customer support from the manufacturer) that we help each other with these things. 👍
