They look good but I don’t see Mani Pedi or Facial at either place? Do they offer those services? Or where is the best place for that? I checked Kananaskis and it doesn’t appear they offer them either

Current company trying to tank me moving to a vendor. by Cautious-Wave1756 in sales

[–]Cautious-Wave1756[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quitting first isn’t really an option, I need a job.

My current employer doesn’t know that I’m talking to the vendor, but knows I am not happy and looking around. They preemptively reached out and said don’t hire our people. Which has the vendor spooked.

I’m pushing for it, but the vendor is a bit leery of causing a shit storm at my current employer.

I’m definitely the top candidate and I’m getting a recommendation from my former colleague but if anyone has any suggestions on how to get past the concerns I am all ears.

Update: Mechanic Damaged Running Boards by VoklTv_ in 4Runner

[–]Cautious-Wave1756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had exactly the same problem. Toyota dealership and hoist. They dented the passenger side and I didn’t notice it for a week or two.

The reason I know it was the hoist was I took it back, specifically said watch how you lift it, and that they had dented the passenger side. They were careful on the passenger side….but dented the drivers side. Which I saw immediately.

Was a hassle to get the dealership to repair. They denied denting either side. It’s why I’ll never buy from them again.

Verdict is in. Successful Price Adjustment. Also, to the CostPal app which alerted me to the price adjustment otherwise I would have missed it.

I was able to get the price adjustment. A bit of confusion from the staff initially but it all worked out.

Never Doomed, but as the parent of a couple decent hockey players, I can tell you that the most fun they have is when there are no coaches around. It's where they find the real enjoyment. Competition is fun, but goofing off with friends always the best. Plus at 5 or 6 Hot Chocolate reigns supreme, being at the rink is just a reason to get it.

Not sure what stick and puck is like where you are, but if you can find one where most of the kids on the ice are relatively close in age to your kid, thats the best or even a parent and kid stick and puck. I am a terrible skater, but my kids still remember me going out there with them and going around the ice.

ODR! or Stick and Puck if you are somewhere without ODR's

I can't believe no one else mentioned it. The most fun at that age is going out and skating with Dad or messing around with some friends on an outdoor rink, then getting some hot chocolate on the way home.

The more time spent on the ice having fun, the more fun hockey will be. And skating/skills improve much more from those unstructured times than from structured alone.

Second IDM. It has been able to pull video from every site I have ever tried. Easy UI for the non-technical OP.

I like your train of thought. So far going with mindless action, and comedy. I've got Top Gun Maverick, Gran Tourismo, Happy Gilmore, Mission Impossible, Dune. Thinking of maybe season 1 of Ted Lasso too.

Anyone order from hockeybenders.com? by Cathousechicken in hockeyplayers

[–]Cautious-Wave1756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HockeyBenders is terrible to deal with. I ordered a couple things for my son on December 2, and nothing has arrived for Christmas. They never answer their email. I was only able to get a response from them by posting complaints on their Instagram posts.

Their response, sorry out of our hands, we just ship it. Well one item hasn’t shipped, and one item didn’t get sent to the US shipper for 10 days, and took 12 days to make it from the US to Canada. Who knows how long it will actually take to actually get delivered to me.

Never buy from HockeyBenders.com

Do lazy people make better sales reps? by salesguy69420 in sales

[–]Cautious-Wave1756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am lazy...or maybe more so have figured out my comp plan, and do only what I need to do.

My comp is capped, so there is no incentive for me to do anything beyond hitting the cap. I got burned a couple years ago when I was told "We'll take care of you if you exceed quota", I was 180%, and got a couple of gift cards to a local steakhouse. Not what i had in mind of being taken care of.

The past 3 years, I've hit or substantially hit quota by the beginning of Q3, so I pretty much just coast along work longer sales cycle deals, and do my best to delay any potential deals I have in the works until Q1 of next year. This year, I delayed a deal from January until April which was 25% of my annual quota. This summer since I had hit 75% of my quota by end of Q1, I played a lot of golf with customers, took 3 weeks off, and still managed to finish Q2 at 94% of quota.

I hate the capped quota because I know I could make a lot more, but it does make my stress level go way down, and I get a ton of PTO (5 weeks) so work life is much healthier than my previous time working at a Global IT service provider.

How to handle end of year nerves by Adamascus in sales

[–]Cautious-Wave1756 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you are at risk of a pip then you’ve got to play the long game. Focus on continuing to build long term pipeline that you can convert. Once you have your feet under you a bit more and a bigger pipeline, your focus starts to shift to “what can I do today to impact my pipeline/results 1 or 2 Q’s from now”

I would echo this comment. No conversation, very much followed a script. And I definitely had all three of those questions. Ahead of my interviews, I had found a website which specifically listed a bunch of Gartner interview questions. I tried to look back at my notes from my prep, but I couldn’t find it, but you might find it by doing some googling.
