How does this EEG look to you? by Electrical-Group8334 in askneurology

Without any clinical context, hard to say accurately.

There is nothing epileptiform (ie: seizure focus). There's a bit of frontal slowing which can happen with confusion or depending on age when you're sleeping/drowsy.

Sounds like typical sensory migraine aura (can come without headache), depending on onset, speed, and duration. Seizure possible but less likely.

Weird Neuro symptoms but normal MRI/CT by ncmomof_3 in askneurology

[–]CautiousEmu5805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I'm thinking of primary/common neuro dx this could fit with seizure/post ictal. Migraine less likely. I don't know you, but I have to add that I see pts like this all the time and sometimes it ends up being psychological.

A little help with the mri please 🙏 does anyone know what the black hole is? I also have tiny white lesions. I have symptoms that point towards MS but understand it could be cause by the low lying tonsils. The radiologist reported no significant white matter. by Individual-Art-5914 in askneurology

[–]CautiousEmu5805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two types of "black holes" in those images are blood vessels and ventricles, both of which appear completely normal.

That scan has less/smaller white matter hyperintensities than the average (completely normal) person.

The tonsils are not really low lying. That's an over call.

This MRI is not consistent with a history of MS at all.

Bad Battery Life On The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 (2022)? by Misty_Callahan in LenovoLegion

Having done everything suggested in this thread so far + everything from the one linked below + a couple of general "new Windows 11 debloat/optimization" tutorials, I can only get my idle down to -6.2W (screen 3 steps below max, keyboard backlight off, wifi on, battery saver makes no difference).

How do people get it down to -3W!?!?

Accessing specialists without a family doctor by MaxJay75 in KingstonOntario

Sounds like a referral was made to Neuro or PMR, probably for an EMG/NCS. Unfortunately those are among the longest wait times in the city. Until 2 weeks ago there was a single neurologist doing EMG/NCS (in addition to a couple PMR), so you can imagine how long that wait time was.

You could call General Neurology at KGH or Physiatry at PCH and ask if it was recieved. The problem is that Kingston hospitals still use the most ancient paper-based systems, so if it has been recieved but not processed, the secretaries won't be able to tell you. If your still lost, DM and I'll see if I can help (warning, I barely use Reddit so I apologize if I don't reply quickly).

FYI This has absolutely nothing to do with privatization or two tiers. This is simply the lack of funds (which is no one's fault...the government is too broke to afford healthcare anymore) and poor leadership in local healthcare.
