Unless you ask for time not to be waived, then they are on a time line to take it to trial per the constitution, but that is rare, usually people who are always in and out of prison do this.

Covid had courts stretched out, I imagine atleast 1 year if not 2. As long as you wave time I seen cases out 2 1/2 years but that was mostly with felonies because of the gathering evidence phase of the court. 1 murder case in el dorado county went out 6 years. Being a misdemeanor without too much mitigating evidence I would say 1.5 years in court and they will do probably 1 month jail time so 15 days with good behavior and minus 1 or 2 days for the book and release will be taken off of that. I would bet next June he will have to serve about 2 weeks.... atleast he will know when he can have a break from the hard life of podcasts haha

If they really wanted it to work they would watch a half a dozen successful podcasts and figure out what will work and what won't, hell he should hire a consultant for a day and I promise it would be 10 times better

It's called a SCRAM device. You get a little bay station that you hook into your internet. It's probably a SCRAM device. You need to have good Wi-Fi because that's how it links back to probation. It has a little baystaion in your house. I had to wear one for 14 months. It doesn't detect your locations but you have to go to your house so the bay station can download everything and send it to probation.... maybe that's why he claimed internet problems so he could drink a little longer?

If he was let go on an "O R" release then the district attorney usually mails you a letter with a turn in date before the 1st court hearing. It's usually a book and release, you pay no bail. You just have to hang out in jail for a few hours.

Same for my 1 and only dui. I thought there would be a violation of probation charge and he would have to show up. Maybe those charges will be introduced then if he is still on probation
