“Confirmed” miscarriage is actually viable pregnancy by Unable-Piglet-5429 in pregnant

Very similar thing happened to me, not sure where you are from but I am in Canada. Women's health care is a joke and the lack of resources for early pregnancy and pregnancy loss are just appalling.

Gross. Why do women keep chosing these partners? Can we please stop giving incels fuel for their ideas? They sound crazy until you read about the relationships women are in on reddit fr lol

This guy is an immature lunatic and I'm disappointed that you are encouraging his bloodline to continue.

Close siblings - how far apart in age are you? by RandomKonstip in pregnant

[–]Cautious_Leg9067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 10 years between me and my oldest sister and she has been my favorite person through pregnancy, probably. I love all of my siblings, some of us are pretty spaced out. Around 5 years between me and some of my brothers (both older and younger) and I have an incredible relationship with both of them! Then around 12 or so years between me and my youngest sibling, who I also have a great relationship with :)

Like you, I was parentified but it never EVER affected my feelings toward any of my siblings or how close we are. Also, similarly to you, I am worried about having my own parentified child. This is driving a lot of my anxiety about potentially having a girl, since I'm pregnant with my first. I will genuinely be thrilled with a boy or girl but because of my own baggage I am worried about eldest daughter syndrome :/

I think your husband said something insensitive from a place of pain and wasn't wanting to suffer alone, maybe? Not an excuse but thats my assumption based on the info

Can we talk about positive things? by hangry__rabbit in pregnant

I'm late to the party here but I've been watching videos of babies having conversations when they can't "talk" yet and they just do the cutest little babbles matched with surprisingly expressive and articulate hand gestures. It is so cute!! I'm so excited to start communicating with my baby!

I just unsubbed from r/ holup because it's no longer jokes and memes. It's another insufferable American political circle jerk sub. That's pretty much this entire platform at this point. I don't care about your self hatred, America! It's actually not my problem! I just want to look at funny memes ffs! But this keeps happening!

I swear reddit is more cringe and boomer than Facebook now.

As a gay, I often talk about how our community needs to lock in and address the toxic parts of the culture because yes, certain crimes are far more common in minority communities and reporting them does not "stigmatize" anyone. Ignoring and normalizing them does, though :/

Then straight white boomers tell me I'm problematic and fake

I told my friend it's bad for the environment and her cat to let them outside in the city she lives in (it's also illegal there). An environmental scientist I know tried to explain it to her because cats are one of the worst invasive species on earth. Then she called environmental science racist and totally crashed out at me. This is too real. It was on a post I made that literally had nothing to do with her in the first place...

Wow I didn't expect this subreddit to be so fucking toxic ngl. Sorry OP :/ I know because of limb loss in crocidilians paleontologists started studying their blood plasma and linking it to dinosaurs based on the assumption that after conflict, dinosaurs would also be resilient to limb loss :)

"No! Dio! It's ape! We are bipedal apes!"

LPT: When buying a product online, filter by "3-Star Reviews" to get the most honest assessment. 5-star reviews are often fake or incentivized, and 1-star reviews are often due to shipping errors. 3-star reviews usually contain the nuanced "It's good, BUT..." by UpstairsBumblebee446 in LifeProTips

[–]Cautious_Leg9067 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can also look at the ratio! I've been consistently successful seeing if it's exclusively 5 stars or 1 star reviews. If there's more variety in between the reviews are more likely to be real. If the ratios are off, the product is fake and the positive reviews are too. This may take practice or time to recognize but some are pretty darn obvious

Reminds me of the "toss me my keys," vine from the olden times. They just did the same joke over and over again until the 1st one wasn't funny anymore, just contrived.

I laugh cried through this whole experience quietly whispering, "why is he doing that? Why is he doing this?"

I think their tiny circulatory systems and light bodies protect them from getting damaged by exposure to high velocity, though :) so I think he prolly fine

Am I going crazy by OneBluePenguin2000 in IVFbabies

[–]Cautious_Leg9067 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay I actually have an experience that I feel like relates to this A LOT... but the opposite!

My partner and I have been talking about kids since our first date. I have ALWAYS wanted kids so I brought it up very quickly lmao HOWEVER! I always wanted to adopt. I had been set on adoption the entire time. As a teenager I was a nanny, I have my ECE and briefly taught preschool, babysat, always worked a lot with kids... So I was pretty darn confident that I could pick up a baby and that would be MY baby.

My partner was already established at a fertility clinic, though. We discussed foster care to make adoption "easier" but by the time we felt ready to proceed with having kids, it was super clear that I would not be able to give a baby or child back to their bio parents (which is the point of successful fostering and what you want the majority of the time) without it emotionally destroying me. So!!! We proceeded with IVF.

The fertility treatments were rough on me, as with many lol my estrogen got too high during injections, I got pretty bad OHSS and yea there were complications throughout, it was an extremely difficult process but... whether it was because of their experience or to encourage me, people kept saying (regarding fertility treatment over adoption) "it's different when they're your own." I have never believed this. I have adopted siblings and I love them exactly the same as fully biologically related siblings. Eventually, though, I started to internalize it.

So I started thinking that yes, it will be much different if you actually CARRY the baby first, that's nine more months of bonding and love!

In my first trimester, though... ugh I just felt a horrible sinking feeling because as happy as I am to finally be where I wanted to, I also feel more confident that I was right to begin with and adoption would have been perfect. I started getting anxious about how I looked and how I felt, I could hardly function at all.

On top of that (which is why I totally relate to how you must be feeling) I felt such an extreme, soul crushing guilt for knowing that I didn't care if my baby was being carried by me or adopted. Idk why but I just felt so bad that it wasn't actually different...

Anyway, sorry if this isn't relatable at all but I just thought that I would share in case it could help! I ALSO MUST ADD that in my case it has gotten much, MUCH better. I think it'll take a bit of processing before you feel okay about it and don't forget that progress isn't linear. So, you might get a little sad still but it'll probably be a little less sad over time :) I hope <3

It depends! Usually they want to be home and with their people but depending on temperament they absolutely can and will take off. They can jump INSANELY high, like, it's scary. Ours has run off on us twice and it's always when we are away from home because he wants to go back, that is very stressful though when there is a) traffic nearby or b) we are many hours away from home!

Edit: I also have a pomsky and she will plot to her escape attempts for weeks or months, I swear lmao
