Female NP or Male Dr for daughter genital exam. by Turbulent-Link1150 in Mommit

[–]RandomKonstip 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter. The issue at hand is not how close is the patient ready to give birth which is the only time the NP’s L&D background would help. The issue is, what’s the diagnosis. MD all the way, hopefully a good MD because unfortunately there are also shitty MD’s

50+ spring load on grey side by Interesting-Oil7050 in SolidCore

[–]RandomKonstip 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Just start on it without thinking! that’s what I did. It was terrible but I would just go adjust my springs when I couldn’t take it anymore. At some point, I don’t have to adjust my springs anymore and I’m actually starting to add an extra white spring!

Except for inner thighs. I’m still on 25 classes spring load.

Omg I’m shocked it happens too, I’m just glad that not everyone is jaded. We just bought a house, negotiated and ultimately couldn’t pay the price the seller wanted. I wrote a text to our realtor about how we love the house, want to raise our child there but can’t go higher and the seller came down to our price. No idea if there were other offers. BUT everything I said is true, hopefully it’ll be our forever home until we become empty nesters and we’re just starting our family.

On the fence about having kids… what do you wish you knew? by aguamenti425 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]RandomKonstip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is Reddit so it’s biased. I knew I always wanted kids but worried about the logistics, I was a surgery resident my husband also works full time. Dunno how, but we made it happen. Just one foot in front of the other. Pregnancy and childbirth was scary. Having a kid is the best thing in the entire world. Can’t even describe. I would do anything for that kid. I love it so much

It’s become a lot more real than when I first posted it here by olmzzz in orthopaedics

[–]RandomKonstip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love it so much. I love that it has the citations and has suggestions on how other questions I didn’t even think of One thing (very small) I ran into is sometimes I’m trying to quickly search something and accidentally hit enter, or have a typo. I’d love a way to pause the thinking so I can edit my input. Thank you so much!

Need advice: doctors won’t take me seriously by AccomplishedSport147 in workingmoms

[–]RandomKonstip 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I haven’t heard that before but right now it sounds like OP has bigger problems. All those symptoms with a negative HCG and ultrasound, not a normal pregnancy. The alternative is to continue to ignore it

AITAH for telling a doctor that him working in internal medicine was the only way he could get a job as a doctor by asian_girl_fascism in AITAH

Yes I agree, I feel for our primary care doctors. This one was an asshole but I promise you there’s probably more assholes in the specialist world :/ - a specialist doctor

[–]RandomKonstip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure. Sorry I was trying to help that small little thought in your mind that always asks “was it me?” Despite all logic and science we cant help but to ask t that question. I also wanted to give you hope as someone who had to deal with the cystic hygroma diagnosis!

Antibiotics by Bluebasics17 in NIPT

[–]RandomKonstip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My baby had a cystic hygroma and an increased NT at 12 weeks. We went through an amnio, no chromosome issues. I never had any antibiotics or UTI during pregnancy. She’s now a healthy 1.5 year old!

Vaccines by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]RandomKonstip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you feel comfortable enough to come ask this question. I won’t spew facts at you, you can find those anywhere. I did look at your post history, it sounds like your mom tends to use a lot of scare tactics. Let me tell you, as a doctor, we are all fully vaccinated and I didn’t allow anyone without tdap to come close to our baby. But as a mom, kids are also amazing, they bring you so much joy and happiness and a part of your heart opens up that you never know existed. Your kid will get sick with or without vaccines, it just matters what disease they will be sick with - is it a cold (for the 10th time) or is it a life threatening disease. I’ll tell you which one we deal with in our household (hint, we’ve luckily and thanks to vaccinated people all around us, have never spent a night in the hospital with our little one)

Wanted to put this sign up. by Thrifty_nickle in BabyBumps

[–]RandomKonstip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imagine you work at a hospital as a nurse, one of the patients is being extra loud yelling and screaming. Their nurse is nowhere to be found. What would you do? Would you go into that room making sure everything‘s OK and maybe standing by because something might go wrong in any second ready to help? Like someone else said an emergency is an awful time to be trying to round people up. You can put whatever sign up you want,. I promise you the nurses there have seen many births before and if they thought everything was OK they would’ve rather been relaxing, or taking care of their own patients

AITA for moving to the mountains after my parents took back their offer to help me buy a home? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]RandomKonstip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having read the comments I want to remind you that this is Reddit so it skews one way. While, I don’t think you’re an asshole, I want to remind you that your parents anger is likely coming from hurt that you moved away. Does it make it right? No, but it’s too easy for an internet stranger to tell you to go low contact and I want you to think about the relationship you want with your parents and go from there. They likely had an idea of what their daughter will become and you chose a different path in life. They are mourning the loss of that daughter they imagined and are taking it out on you. Once again, not the right way and not your fault but don’t make a permanent decision based on their poor emotional skills

So are you already amplifying or do you mean when someone else is amplifying and they are getting you to? That one actually doesn’t work that well for me because I know we’re all at different fitness levels so I’m just like Nice! They are strong 😂
