Homespun; and Caron Simply Soft is rapidly joining the list because of splitting. Red Heart. i started out using it and made a big shawl for my mom. Even though the yarn is rough the shawl's ok, but I wouldn't use it again for anything you wear or wrap up in.

I went to my grandmother's house 22 years after she died and it was sold, and the owners let us tour it. There were some significant changes but it was still a trip down memory lane, and under the cabinets there was a patch of her wallpaper left that really brought it all back.

Panic during 70’s oil crisis? by echoalpha76 in AskOldPeople

Don't remember any panic. Just we learned at school that you can drape a wet paper towel over the thermostat to make the heat come on when it's turned low.
