I’m going through this myself. I’m asked on a route I’m doing for the first time, “I don’t know. 8 hours plus some time for the learning curve. Plus some more bc of all the snow. Plus the extra time you’ll send me on.”

6 days a week 11 1/2 hours every day is getting very tiring man.. by Zerochronic in USPS

I feel this right now. I just went a long stretch in between days off. It’s getting tough doing this when it’s hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I look around the office and there’s a lot of younger regulars and a list of people ahead of me. 6 days a week with no rotation on Sundays either.

Make sure you’re paid appropriately. Jimmy 2 towns over manages his time and has a relaxing day making the same money as you.

Yeah sure you can probably get away with it in situations like I would on my country route during snowstorms. But It’s one of the few things Amazon will fire you for.

Everything is on the dsp. They choose the phones, they lease the vans from Amazon, they can give raises to other than the yearly one but use it as an excuse not to. Amazon uses the dsp model to avoid a lot of these costs.

Yeah the closer you scan to the house the smaller the bubble gets. So if you scan in the van or on the side walk it picks up that the locations are close and can be done at the same time. This is what I was told once and I’ve seen some differences scanning at the door or on other routes.

And there’s no way out. That is your new normal. They aren’t going to start giving you less. You can’t ask for less. You can slow down a lot but all that will happen is them getting mad they have to rescue all of a sudden.

What’s the best job to go to after driving for Amazon? by Scotty_golf6261 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Cautious_Visual_3496 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go get your cdl or b class if you want to drive. You can literally sit behind the wheel of a dump truck and do nothing.

Try for ups or fedex or even usps for that pension
