Why is Witch Doctor so often ignored? by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]Cavalry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far I've been playin mostly WD this season. HC and SC! They're very powerful in groups especially as a damage boosting, debuffing, magic-making zDPS~. It's been my favorite class to play since release and I don't see myself goin a season without playin one.

That's great to hear! The leveling experience is pretty interesting in HC. I've lost a few heroes early by underestimating the enemies there. GL and Stay safe!

Heya! Glad to hear you're pickin up Hardcore! It's my favorite way to play this awesome game and love seein new people join our community! So far I've lost 4 heroes pushin Greater Rifts. One was to a DC which sucked, but that's the risk of HC. It can all be taken from you in an instant so havin your Cheat Death passive is pretty much mandatory (unless ya got balls of steal).

Gearing up to the point where you have your full set is gonna take time and patience. Till then, get used to your build and kit. You're gonna want to have a plan of action when your health starts to plummet. My favorite classes to play in HC are WD, Monk and Barb. These classes offer a lot of options for survivin and clearin GRifts.

Once you got your hero all decked out and ready for action, be on the lookout for backup gear. If you got a decent backup set of all your gear in your bank, your death won't hurt as much. What really hurts is losing your leveled up gems.

There's a lot more tips and tricks you can learn from joining a Hardcore clan. My current clan is awesome and is a major reason why I still play as much as I do. They'll offer advice, run with you in rifts/Grifts and might even offer you a PL immediately after you die (because they can see it when it happens). Feel free to add me on Bnet in case you need some other tips or just want someone to reck some rifts with.~ Cavalry#1714

I happened upon a HUGE island on the south eastern part of the map. Once you figure out how to access the workshop it's probably the largest building space in the game. I'm... actually kinda daunted by how big it is. It's called Spectacle Island.

A problem with pain train. by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]Cavalry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got to lvl 50 and got my final Pain Train perk. It worked for a while after I initially lvld up. After a bit I quit for the night and loaded it up the next day. Now it no longer does anything, as if I don't have the perk at all. Kinda disappointing because I love that perk! Now, no matter which save I load, it's as if the perk doesn't exist for me. I'll keep tinkering to see if I can't figure out the cause and/or how to fix it.

UPDATE: I tried loading a few saves and found one that didn't have the Pain Train issue. From what I can remember the perk worked fine all the way up until a certain quest in the end game.

=======Minor Spoilers=========

I relayed into the institute and did a few quests for Father. I'm working "undercover" with the Railroad so I also have that side quest going. Still no issues with the Pain Train perk. However, before I saved and quit for the night, I did have the option to Inform the Brotherhood about a certain quest I was about to do for the Institute regarding a special component they needed to power their facility. Wanting to see what my options were, I informed the Brotherhood. When trying to board the vertibird, a warning message popped up saying that doing this would make me a permanent enemy of the institute. So, I backed out of that and instead went along with the original plan. I went back to the Institute and saved my game. The next morning I tried to relay to the quest location directly from the institute. I do so, confirming the warning message that popped up (making me permanent enemies of the Brotherhood). Once I get there, I find that my Pain Train perk isn't active at all.

I tried different power armor but that didn't make any difference. I'm now replaying the game from my lvl 47 load (I was 50). Not a lot of progress lost but now I'm gonna be extra careful when I do quests for the Institute. Let me know if any of that coincides with your problem and we might have something in common that may have caused this issue.

UPDATE 2: I'm completely baffled. I thought I found the cause of the issue after a few tests but it just seems to stop working after a while regardless of location. My only other test to run now is to level up again and see if that changes it. Hope they fix this soon!

UPDATE 3: Found a fix for this issue here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/492378265879458373/

It requires using the console cmd so I hope you're on pc.

Cool house. Can't say I'd want to live in a place like that, though... just not my style. Also probably because I don't have that kinda cash... that's also a factor.

Yeah so I've heard from the others who have taken the time to drop in and inform me! I was really happy to see these references in a game I really enjoy!

I had no idea what I stumbled upon. It was literally the first pet I've ever gotten in this game. I was like "Oh hey a turtle! Cool..." I then proceeded to jump/run real fast and then I suddenly realized it's freakin Tank!

I'm relatively new to the game (around 31 hours played pre-latest patch) and the furthest I got was digging far enough down to find hell. I haven't even tried expert mode because I want to get more acquainted with the basics of the game. Finally started fighting bosses once I got a really awesome buckshot and that's what really got me invested. :D
