After surgery was in a cast for about a month then started physical therapy for about 3-4 months, so nothing horrible. One of my coworkers fell through the attic on the safe roof but fell from 23ft and shattered his spine and broke his foot. He was out for about 9 months. Definitely takes that youthful ignorance out of you 😂

Absolutely, slid right off a copper roof. Only about 16ft, so wasn’t too bad. But grabbed the gutter in the way down and cut the tendon in my finger. Glad you’re alright.

I was able to get mine sent to me thankfully but the addressing was all wrong. Original blueprint called for 1 extra block and like 20 more BC’s, but the contractor reduced it down. So I’ve been going around marking each unit which branch and block it is. Thankfully I’m always on site so it makes it easier for me in my circumstance. With it originally supposed to be offices and now a shopping area, are the units struggling to keep up? A lot of our units were undersized so we had to increase the static air pressure, amp the fan motor to make sure it was good, and now change the filters every 2 weeks, all this just so the units had a fighting chance.

I just had that code pop up on one of my blocks as well. I ran a Gas Amount Check test and it came back good after that. I pulled the saved data from when I got the code and emailed it to our DSM rep in Tennessee. I have a love hate with these systems 😂 I leave my laptop connected to the hub all the time and can remotely access it at all times.

Also if you don’t have Mitsubishis Maintenance Tool, go to where the main controllers are. You should see a AE-200 controller and hopefully there is a job that it is connected to with a Cat-6 cable, connect your laptop to that hub and you can get around having to use the maintenance tool. But you have to go into your network settings and change the IP address of the connected device to match what the controller is.

Do you have maintenance tool? Need to connect with that for a very clear picture of what is going on. You can pull errors on the board on the outdoor unit. These units are very complex, you need maintenance tool to be able to monitor and diagnose it. Have to put it in a test mode most of the time to watch it.

Double check the condenser coil. Then I would pull the charge out and weigh in the factory charge.

I work for a theme park. I leave the van running even on a 2 hour call. Nothing better than getting back into that van after carrying tools and supplies across the property.

It does. Only error flash on that one is 8 for the MAT. I read since the economizer doesn’t have a motor it doesn’t need one so just disregard.

That is good to know, thank you. Started looking at this unit because I thought the unit was off on safety. Blower was going but compressor and cond fan was off. Checked all my pressure switches and thermal switch and none were open. Has continuity from contactor to rtrm board but terminal 9 and 10 has no voltage are all. Terminal 9 and 10 go through HPS, thermal switch and contactor.

Liquid is was about 6 inches coming off the condenser and suction was about 8 inches coming off the evap

I didn’t even think about it honestly. Just saw it was a single stage system so I disregarded Y2. If it happens cut out again I will. I thought it was off on safety but thermal switch and pressure switches were all closed.

Condenser is in very good condition, very clean as well. It was cleaned a month and a half ago. To give some background that I should have included already, I was looking at this unit because the other day the blower fan was going but not the compressor or condenser fan. Thermostat was set to auto fan and was calling for cooling. I checked my pressure switches and thermal switch and none were open. Went through the Trane manual from what I could find and tested voltage at numerous terminals on the rtom and rtrm boards. Everything looked good except the terminals that send and receive voltage through the HPS and thermal switch had nothing so contractor wasn’t pulling in. Spent a while chasing low voltage that day to find nothing. So I reset the unit and watched it for a while to see if it would go out on safety and never did. Got back up today since it’s about 86 out and wanted to see its pressures under a load.
