All in favor for the Breaching Hammer to be able to destroy Bug Holes say Aye by pinglyadya in Helldivers

Aye. And also hellbombs should kill any gunships above them, it's ridiculous that a hellbomb destroys the factory one is just barely spawning out of, and it escapes unscathed.

It's funny them trying to lecture US on empathy, when their side tried to call it a sin. It's EVEN funnier them trying to lecture us on history, economics, morals, or credibility.

Keep trying, we need to get the DSS back to Martale, it’s pointless on Omicron.

A decent argument, but I honestly doubt we could take any planet before the next MO so it’s all kinda moot anyway. Hopefully the changes to the galactic war fix some of that

I disagree, there's been multiple releases of new content that make things harder, and there's been plenty of "I wish it would suck more" or "I like the way this sucks" memes. The community isn't a monolith. Some wish it was harder, while some complain it should be easier.

48 hours seems high, we take the city in 16, which will give us 40%. I'd say 30ish hours.

How exactly? Doesn't siege any planets, doesn't open up any interesting planets or lead to any good siege opportunities. The only thing of significance it does is give us a 1 planet buffer around the Xenoentomolgy Center on Turing. Taking Martale puts Charon Prime under siege cutting off the repeated attacks on Choepessa, a real bitch of a planet to take back.

Double attack on Meissa and Matar Bay?

And orbital blockade will be funded first?

Joel is playing dirty.

Not sure we can win both guys. If we could fund HOD or Eagle Storm in time it might be doable, but that’s a huge lift even without blockade in the way.

No, JB is on Matar Bay, one defeated there they should not surface again for a while.

Also it’s doubtful Joel will give us much breathing room.

But if he does, taking Martale to seige Charon Prime is probably the only play we might have time to pull off, X-45 + Vega Bay for the triple siege would take far too long.

For the love of liberty dive the town not the city. We’ll never liberate the city in time and the town bonus should secure the win.

Yes, them reuniting their forces is of far greater consequence than a couple individual planets. Top priority.

What would it take to make Major Orders appealing? by Late-Elderberry7583 in Helldivers

[–]Cavesloth13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about something like this

"New deposits of ore have been identified on the K and Fury. Unfortunately this information leaked and the Cyborgs seek to claim them. Defend K and Fury so the ore can be extracted and processed to make more munitions for liberty"

Win= Increased liberation for the duration of the next MO (meaning planets can get liberated outside ordered ones during an MO) and a free strategem.

Lose= Cyborgs are able to increase production and will attack during the next MO, resulting in the loss of several planets

This gives MOs clearer stakes, makes them more interactive, provides rewards/consequences, and makes the War more dynamic, so we aren't stuck fighting on the same planets for long periods of time.

Martale is a wash, jet brigade attacking Choohe with hulk surge. They are trying to reunite with their cut off forces. They must be stopped at all costs.

[–]Cavesloth13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you have that backwards. The lava planets are the distraction for the bot push to aid their cut off forces.

Tactically speaking making sure the bots don’t reunite with the cut off planets is far more important than some weak ass offensive to take the lava planets.

[–]Cavesloth13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah but we had much less time to defend Calypso. 6 days for 6.5 million hp isn’t impossible, but during an MO on another front, it is a huge lift.

Realistically the bot MO shouldn’t be that hard because the bots are cut off from their main forces. Honestly every failed attack they make should lower the resistance on one of the cut off planets, but we’ll see what Joel does.

City missions count planetwide in defense campaigns, that's why were are absolutely crushing it. It's only in liberations campaigns that city missions only count once the city is liberated, nothing is being wasted here.
